Chapter 37

Ayara's POV

I've been vomiting for a few days, even before Mikhael disappeared I was vomiting but I didn't tell her, even my friends and family. All I thought was that I had an illness that I couldn't identify and that's why I'm here today driving to the hospital. When I got to the hospital, I immediately parked the car and went inside and immediately went to the front desk.

"Excuse me, I have an appointment with Doctor Vien" I said to the receptionist.

"Are you Ms. Arcallana?" She asked and I nodded.

"Let me assist you, Ms. Arcallana" she offered as I followed her.

She knocked on the room where Doctor Vien was before entering.

"Excuse me doc Vien, Ms. Arcallana's here" the receptionist said and opened the door widely for me.

"Good afternoon Ms. Arcallana, have a seat" Doctor Vien said.

"Okay let's get onto it, what seems to be the problem?" Doctor Vien asked.

"I've been vomiting for several days until now, I'm afraid I might have an illness" I said.

"Don't worry Ms. Arcallana, we'll help you" Doctor Vien said while writing down.

"Do you feel anything other than vomiting?" Doctor Vien asked.

"Uhm fatigue, bloating and uh, I also missed my period, it should be last last week" I respond.

"Oh.. I'm afraid to ask this but, did you have sexual intercourse with someone?" Doctor Vien asked that caught me of guard.

"What kind of question is that?" I asked while my face are frowned.

"Ms. Arcallana, those symptoms you have encountered are also symptoms of pregnancy and that's why I'm asking" Doctor Vien said.

"P-pregnancy?!" I shouted.

"Calm down Ms. Arcallana, settle down" doctor Vien calmed me down.

"You don't have an illness but I'm afraid that you're pregnant but before that, answer my question first" Doctor Vien said.

"I-I don't know" I answered stuttering.

"You're married" Doctor Vien said while looking at my ring in my finger.

"Y-yes but with a woman" I said.

"Oh..then how come?" Doctor Vien said and looked very confused and I just shook my head.

"Then Ms. Arcallana, there is a possibility that your wife is intersex" doctor Vien said and sat down firmly.

"I-intersex? What's that?" I asked, I don't know what that is.

"Intersex is a person born with reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn't fit as female or male or let's say, your wife has a-" I cut doctor Vien off after realizing what she was about to say.

"But doc, my wife has a woman figure, that's impossible" I responded.

"Okay let's step that aside first, to confirm that you're really pregnancy, I prescribe you to use this" doctor Vien said and handed me a pregnancy test. I was shaking when I took it.

"Thank you for today Ms. Arcallana, contact me after getting the result" doctor Vien said and stood up, offered me her hands and I gladly accepted it.

When I got home, I just parked my car in front of the house and immediately went inside. I hid the pregnancy test inside my purse because I didn't want mom and dad to be surprised. When I entered I was shocked when Ria was there.

"What are you guys doing here?" I confusedly asked.

"Ayara? It's your day, nakalimutan mo na ba?" Shana asked that it caught me off guard.

"Oh, right" I responded and scratched my nape. I can't believe I totally forgot that it's my day today.

"Akyat lang ako sa kwarto" I added and ran towards my room.

"Wait Ayara!" Sophia shouted but I just kept running towards the stairs.

When I got to the room I locked the door and took the pregnancy test from my purse and went to the bathroom.

I first read how to use it because I don't know how. When I understood, I took a deep breath before using it.

"Here goes nothing, please be negative" I wished while crossing my fingers.

When I finished using it, I put it in the sink and walked back and forth. When I was ready to see the result, I reached for it with my eyes closed.

"P-positive..?" I whispered to myself and my whole body almost went weak.

I couldn't stop it anymore and my tears started to flow as I sat on the bathroom floor. I am afraid that they might be mad with me because I know that they are taking care of me and especially since I have no idea if what doctor Vien told me earlier is true. I cried and cried because I didn't know what to do, I felt like all my dreams were destroyed.

"Please, tell me this is just a dream" I cried while hugging my knees.

I cried and cried and I didn't realize the time so I thought to help myself and I got dressed because my clothes were full of tears. I washed myself before going down so that it wouldn't be obvious that I cried because they might wonder.

I am now on my knees in front of Ria and begging her to believe me. My tears keep pouring because I don't know what to do, without them how would I be.

"Birthday mo pero ikaw may pa-surprise sa'min" Ria said sarcastically while wiping her tears. My heart is broken while I knelt in front of Ria.

"Aalis na ako" Ria responded and left immediately, I was about to go after him when Shana and Sophia stopped me.

I faced Sophia and Shana, hoping they would believe me.

"S-shana..S-sophia please maniwala kayo sa'kin, hindi ko alam kung s-sino ama ng dinadala ko" I begged and was about to kneel down when Shana stopped me.

"Naniniwala kami sa'yo okay? Magpahinga kana at mag-usap tayo nang maayos bukas" Sophia replied and helped me to the bed.

"Magpahinga kana, babalik kami bukas para makipag-usap sayo" Shana said and tucked me in the blanket.

They just stayed by my side until I fell asleep and because I was tired of crying, I suddenly fell asleep with swollen eyes.

So hi again guys, I can update because it's the weekend and besides, I only have one task left. So ayon, stay tune lang kayo ha wag niyo ako iiwan dahil nga yung promise ko na gagawa ako ng another story pero mostly angst na yon kaya wag na kayo mag expect na happy ending hahaha and also, hiatus ako sa TikTok ngayon kasi andaming proseso para makapag-update ako ron e inaabot ako ng 1-2 hours para makapag publish ng 1 chapter kaya mapapansin niyo na hindi umaabot ng 35 slides yon kasi grabe bai ang hirap kaya mapapansin niyo rin na dito ako active sa wattpad.
