V's POV
“Tomorrow morning,” Taehyung muttered to himself, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips at the thought.
Just then, the door burst open with a bang, and Jungkook stormed in, as energetic as ever. “Hyung! We’ve got a break tomorrow! Want to go out and do something fun?”
Taehyung’s thoughts snapped back to the present. “No, I just need to rest,” he replied almost instantly, waving a hand dismissively. “I’ll be at my apartment tomorrow.”
Jungkook let out a dramatic sigh, rolling his eyes. “Fineee. You’re so boring. I’ll just ask Jimin hyung then,” he huffed before turning and sulking his way out of the room.
As the door clicked shut behind him, Taehyung chuckled softly to himself. His mind drifted back to the reason for his refusal—he had something else to look forward to tomorrow, something, or rather someone, far more exciting than a day out with the guys.
7 am
“I drove back to my apartment.
Once inside, I prepared some breakfast, keeping things simple as I waited for Jennie. The anticipation had me glancing at the clock every few minutes.Suddenly, the doorbell rang. My heart skipped a beat. I wiped my hands on a towel and walked to the door. As I opened it, I was met with a girl standing there, wearing oversized sunglasses, a bucket hat pulled low over her face, and baggy clothes that almost disguised her figure.
Even with her casual outfit, I recognized her instantly.
‘Jennie?’ I asked, my voice unsure, but the hint of a smile already creeping onto my lips.
She nodded, removing her sunglasses with a playful grin. ‘Didn’t want to draw any attention,’ she said, stepping inside quickly.
" how are you even managing to see anything in that?” I asked, eyeing her oversized sunglasses and bucket hat, amused at how serious she looked in the disguise.
“Security oppa. I have to be extra careful,” she said, smirking as she stepped further inside.
“Didn’t you see the video of yours that went viral?” she asked casually, glancing around my apartment like she owned the place.
“About me vibing to you guys’ songs?” I played dumb, even though I knew exactly what she was getting at. But pretending was easier.
“And?” she pressed, raising an eyebrow as if daring me to continue.
I cleared my throat awkwardly. “And… some people were, um, shipping us,” I finally admitted, feeling the heat rise to my face.
Jennie laughed softly. “Yes! They just assumed we were dating because you were enjoying one of our songs. If I were to be spotted near your house…” she paused dramatically, “… fans would probably assume we’re married by now.”
I choked on the water I was drinking, coughing a little as her words sank in.
Jennie giggled, clearly enjoying my reaction. “Anyway, wanna have some breakfast?” I asked, trying to shift the conversation and ease the tension.
“If it’s something low-calorie, then I’m in. I have a photoshoot in two hours, so you know…” she trailed off, giving me a knowing look.
I grinned. “Of course, it’s low-calorie and high in protein. I’m on a diet too, remember? Take a seat "
“Umm, it looks so yummy, oppa! I didn’t have my breakfast today. I was really starving,” Jennie said, her eyes lighting up as she took a bite, clearly enjoying the meal.
“The pleasure is mine,” Taehyung replied dramatically, a playful grin on his face. “I mean, I get to have breakfast with Jennie from Blackpink, one of the most well-known girl groups in the K-pop industry!”
Jennie rolled her eyes with a teasing smile. “Look who’s talking—the legendary V from the biggest boy group in Korea! Huh?”
“Touché,” Taehyung laughed, feeling a warm blush creeping onto his cheeks.
“Oppa, this is so yummy! I had no idea you were such a good cook,” Jennie continued, savoring another bite. “I would love to come here every day for this kind of breakfast. Honestly, I don’t even know how to make ramen!”
Taehyung chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief. “I’ve learned a little these past few years. It’s either that or starving when I’m busy with schedules.”
“Well, you’ve got a talent for it,” she replied, a playful glint in her eyes. “Maybe you should consider adding ‘chef’ to your resume, along with ‘idol.’” she joked
We had a great chat, and I found myself getting to know her more than I expected. It really didn’t feel like it was her first time here; she was so frank and chill, making it easy to talk to her. I, on the other hand, felt a bit more reserved, unsure why I was holding back.
“It was really nice to know you, oppa,” she said, standing up from her seat, her demeanor suddenly shifting to a more professional tone. “But I have to go now. You see, I have a photoshoot today.”
“Yeah, sure! You’re welcome here anytime,” I replied, trying to sound casual even though I felt a slight pang at the thought of her leaving.
“Good luck with your photoshoot!” I called after her, and she turned, giving me a little wave before stepping out into the hallway, leaving me with a mix of excitement and anticipation for our next meeting.

“Looking back, I realized that morning wasn’t just about breakfast; it was the spark of something unexpected, a connection I never saw coming.”
