As April rolled in, the cherry blossoms danced gently in the breeze, painting the streets of Japan in shades of pink and white. For Lucifer and Masha, this time of year marked a new beginning. They had just entered high school, a significant milestone filled with both excitement and nerves. Having worked diligently to master the Japanese language over the past year, they felt ready to face this new challenge head-on.
The first day of school was vibrant and bustling. As they walked through the gates, Masha could feel her heart racing with anticipation. "Can you believe we're finally here? High school!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. Lucifer smiled, his long white hair flowing gently with each step.
"Yeah, it feels surreal," he replied, his voice soft yet steady. "Let's make the most of it.
After navigating the labyrinth of hallways, they found their classroom and took a moment to compose themselves before entering. As soon as they stepped inside, their presence caught the attention of the other students. Lucifer's baby face, coupled with his delicate features, often led people to mistake him for a girl.
Masha, noticing the whispers and glances directed at him, couldn't help but smirk. "Looks like you're quite the heartthrob already," she teased, nudging him playfully.
"Very funny, Masha," he replied, rolling his eyes but unable to hide a small smile. "I'm just here to study, remember?"
Their banter was cut short as the teacher entered the room, calling for everyone's attention. "Welcome, everyone! Today, we will be introducing ourselves. Please tell us your name and one interesting fact about yourself."
As each student introduced themselves, Masha leaned over and whispered, "Just don't say you're a model or something. We don't want to create any more misconceptions!"
Lucifer chuckled quietly, his eyes twinkling. "I'll keep that in mind."
When it was their turn, Lucifer stood up, his calm demeanor contrasting with the flurry of excitement in the room. "Hello, I'm Lucifer. I enjoy reading and learning about mythology."
As he spoke, Masha observed the reactions of the other students. The whispers grew louder as some girls exchanged glances, clearly taken by his appearance. When Masha stood up next, she decided to have a little fun. "Hi, I'm Masha. I'm Lucifer's caretaker and sometimes his personal chef!"
The classroom erupted in laughter, and Lucifer couldn't help but blush. "Thanks for the introduction, Masha," he said dryly, a smirk creeping onto his face.
After the introductions, the students were asked to gather for an assembly. The hall was filled with excited chatter as they took their seats. The headmaster welcomed the new students warmly, encouraging them to embrace their school life and study hard. "This is a time for growth and friendship. Make the most of these years," he said, his voice echoing through the auditorium.
As the assembly concluded, the students trickled back to their classrooms. Masha and Lucifer shared knowing glances, the energy in the room lifting their spirits. The rest of the day went smoothly; classes were engaging, and the teachers were approachable, which eased their initial nerves.
Later that evening, the two friends returned to their apartment. Masha immediately headed to the kitchen, ready to whip up dinner. "I'm making your favorite tonight, Lucifer!" she called out, her voice filled with enthusiasm.
"Let me guess, ramen?" he replied, amused as he flopped onto the couch, stretching out his long limbs.
"Close! But I'm adding a special twist. You'll love it!" she said, her laughter bubbling in the air.
