Valentine's Day dawned with a bright, clear sky, the early morning sunlight streaming into Masha's bedroom, casting soft shadows on the pale blue walls. She yawned, stretched, and smiled as she remembered her plan for the day. Today, she was going to pamper Lucifer—her best friend, the boy who had been staying with her since he lost his parents. Over the months, their bond had grown stronger, and even though they were just in middle school, Masha was determined to make this Valentine's Day special for Lucifer, even if it was just in a friendly, caring way.
Lucifer, with his innocent baby face and shy demeanor, had somehow become the talk of the school, especially among the girls. They would giggle and swoon whenever he passed by, calling him "cute" and "adorable." It embarrassed him, but Masha found it endlessly amusing, teasing him every chance she got. Today, though, she had something different in mind.

"Wake up, sleepyhead!" Masha called cheerfully as she knocked on Lucifer's door. He had been staying in the guest room for months now, but Masha made sure to make him feel at home.
Lucifer groaned softly, rubbing his eyes as he sat up. His white, tousled hair fell across his forehead, and he looked out the window at the bright morning sun. "What time is it?" he asked groggily.
"Time for you to get pampered," Masha said with a grin as she pushed the door open and stepped inside. She held out a tray with breakfast—pancakes shaped like hearts, a small glass of orange juice, and scrambled eggs. "Happy Valentine's Day, Lucifer! Today, you're not lifting a finger. I'm going to take care of everything."
Lucifer blinked in surprise, a faint blush creeping across his cheeks. "What? You don't have to do that. It's just another day," he mumbled, looking down at his hands.
Masha shook her head, placing the tray on his lap. "Nope. Not just another day. You're my best friend, and I want to do something special for you. You've been through a lot, and it's time you had a day where you could just relax and let me spoil you."
He looked at the heart-shaped pancakes and let out a small chuckle. "Okay, fine. But don't go overboard, alright?"
"No promises!" she replied with a wink, making him laugh. "Now eat up. We've got a whole day ahead of us."

After breakfast, Masha made sure Lucifer was comfortable as they walked to school together. She grabbed his hand, swinging it playfully as they strolled down the street, backpacks slung over their shoulders. Even though it was a typical school day, Masha had arranged little surprises throughout to make Lucifer feel special.
As they approached the school, Masha noticed the usual group of girls standing near the gate, whispering excitedly and pointing toward Lucifer. She nudged him playfully. "Looks like your fan club's waiting for you."
Lucifer groaned, rolling his eyes. "Please don't start."
"Oh, come on! You love the attention," she teased, giving him a sly grin. "Don't pretend you're not flattered."
"I don't! It's embarrassing!" Lucifer's face turned a bright shade of pink as the girls began calling out to him.
"Lucifer! You look so cute today!" one of them said, giggling behind her hand.
"Happy Valentine's Day, Lucifer!" another girl called, handing him a small box of chocolates.
Lucifer awkwardly accepted the gift, mumbling a quiet "Thanks," as Masha tried to stifle her laughter.
"You're like a celebrity, you know that?" Masha said, still grinning. "All the girls are obsessed with you."
"I'd rather they weren't," he muttered under his breath, looking anywhere but at the girls.
