Kadence woke up to the smell of fresh coffee wafting through the apartment. Sunlight poured in through the large windows, casting a soft glow over the minimalist furnishings of Georgia's place. She stretched under the covers, feeling the warmth of the sun on her face. Yesterday had been the perfect day—exploring Munich, laughing with Georgia, and simply enjoying the freedom of being herself away from the cameras.
But today was different. Today was about exploring even more, and Kadence had a feeling that Georgia had something special planned. After all, there had been that secretive smile on her face when they said goodnight, and the brief mention of an "adventure."
Kadence got out of bed, slipped into a casual pair of leggings and a sweatshirt, and made her way to the kitchen. There, Georgia was leaning against the counter, already dressed in her usual sporty attire, a steaming mug of coffee in her hand.
"Morning, sleepyhead," Georgia said, flashing her a grin.
Kadence smiled back, running a hand through her hair. "Morning. You're up early."
"I had to be. We've got a big day ahead," Georgia teased, winking. "Hope you're ready."
Kadence raised an eyebrow, curiosity piqued. "What exactly do you have planned?"
Georgia smirked and handed her a mug of coffee. "You'll see."
They shared a few quiet moments sipping their coffee, the comfortable silence between them speaking volumes. Kadence was surprised at how quickly she had settled into this routine, how natural it felt to be around Georgia. And the mystery of the day ahead only made her more excited.
After they finished their coffee and got ready for the day, Georgia led Kadence outside, where her car was parked. The crisp morning air filled Kadence's lungs as they climbed into the car and set off through the city streets.
"Okay, seriously, where are we going?" Kadence finally asked, unable to contain her curiosity any longer.
Georgia laughed, glancing at her. "I told you, it's a surprise. But trust me, you're going to love it."
Kadence leaned back in her seat, playfully rolling her eyes but trusting Georgia completely. The city slowly gave way to more open roads, and before long, they were driving through the Bavarian countryside. The scenery was breathtaking—rolling green hills, charming villages, and the distant outline of the Alps on the horizon.
After about an hour of driving, Georgia turned off the main road and onto a narrow, winding path that led to a hidden spot in the countryside. Kadence stared out the window, her eyes widening in awe as they pulled up to what looked like a private estate. A beautiful castle, surrounded by lush gardens, stood before them.
"Welcome to Neuschwanstein Castle," Georgia said with a grin. "I thought we'd do something a little different today."
Kadence's jaw dropped. "You brought me to a castle?"
"Yup," Georgia said, clearly pleased with Kadence's reaction. "It's one of my favourite places in Bavaria. I figured you might like it."
Kadence stepped out of the car, taking in the stunning sight of the castle. It looked like something out of a fairy tale, perched high on a hill with the majestic Alps serving as a backdrop.
"This is incredible," Kadence breathed, turning to Georgia with wide eyes. "I've seen pictures, but seeing it in person... wow."
Georgia smiled, her hands casually tucked into her pockets. "I'm glad you like it. I thought it would be fun to show you something outside the city."
They spent the next few hours exploring the castle, wandering through its grand halls and admiring the intricate details of its architecture. Kadence was completely captivated by the history and beauty of the place. As they walked, Georgia told her stories about the castle's past, making Kadence laugh with her quirky retellings of old legends.
"I feel like I've stepped into a different world," Kadence said as they stood on one of the castle's balconies, gazing out at the breathtaking view.
"It's definitely magical," Georgia agreed, leaning on the railing beside her. "I come here whenever I need to clear my head. It's peaceful, away from everything."
Kadence nodded, understanding what she meant. Being here, far away from the chaos of her life in LA, felt like a breath of fresh air. And being here with Georgia made it even more special.
After their tour of the castle, Georgia drove them to a nearby village, where they stopped for lunch at a small, rustic restaurant. The place was cosy, with wooden beams and a roaring fireplace in the corner. They sat at a corner table, and Georgia ordered a traditional Bavarian meal—schnitzel, sausages, and pretzels.
"I hope you're hungry," Georgia said with a grin as the waiter brought out their food.
Kadence's eyes widened at the feast before her. "I'm starving. This looks amazing."
They dug into their meal, and Kadence found herself laughing as Georgia recounted stories from her time at Bayern Munich. Georgia's laid-back nature and sense of humour put her at ease, and soon, they were trading stories back and forth.
"Okay, so let me get this straight," Kadence said between bites. "Your teammate once tried to hide a rubber chicken in your locker before a big game?"
Georgia laughed, shaking her head. "Yep. It was supposed to be a good luck charm or something. I walked into the locker room, and there it was, just staring at me. Scared the hell out of me."
Kadence burst out laughing, wiping tears from her eyes. "That's hilarious. I can't believe that actually happened."
"Yeah, the team is full of characters," Georgia said with a grin. "We like to keep things light, you know? Football can be stressful, so we try to have fun when we can."
Kadence nodded, understanding. "I can imagine. It's probably the same for you guys as it is for me with modelling. Everyone expects you to be perfect all the time, but sometimes you just need to laugh and not take things so seriously."
Georgia smiled at her, and for a moment, the conversation quieted as they both savoured the food and the easy companionship between them. It was clear that they shared more than just a mutual attraction—they understood each other's worlds in a way that was rare.
As the afternoon turned to evening, Georgia suggested they head back to her apartment. The drive back was filled with more laughter and conversation, the two of them sharing stories from their childhoods and dreaming about the future.
Back at Georgia's place, they decided to keep the evening low-key, ordering pizza and curling up on the couch to watch a movie. This time, it was Kadence's turn to choose, and she picked a lighthearted romantic comedy.
"I hope you're ready for some cheesy romance," Kadence teased as she hit play.
Georgia groaned playfully. "As long as it's not too sappy."
They settled into the couch, the room dimly lit by the soft glow of the TV. As the movie played, Kadence found herself leaning closer to Georgia, their shoulders touching. There was a quiet intimacy in the moment, a feeling that something was building between them, even though neither of them had put it into words yet.
By the time the credits rolled, the room had grown quiet, the only sound the gentle hum of the TV in the background. Kadence turned to look at Georgia, her heart beating a little faster.
"I had a really great day," Kadence said softly.
Georgia smiled, her eyes meeting Kadence's. "Me too. I'm glad you're here."
For a moment, neither of them said anything, the silence stretching between them. And then, without thinking, Kadence leaned in and gently pressed her lips to Georgia's. The kiss was soft, tentative, but full of meaning.
When they finally pulled apart, Georgia's cheeks were flushed, and Kadence felt her own heart racing.
"I'm really glad I'm here," Kadence whispered.
They spent the rest of the evening in quiet companionship, enjoying the peacefulness of being together. As they eventually drifted off to sleep, Kadence couldn't help but feel that something special was starting between them, something real and beautiful.
And she couldn't wait to see where it would lead.
