Morgan's POV
As the ship landed at the Resistance base, I quickly stood. Everyone stared at me as I walked off the Millenium Flacon. Leia stood in the midst, a knowing look on her face. I ran to her and gave her a hug. "I'm so sorry. I thought Han could turn him back. I was foolish and Han died because of me—"
"Shh. It's ok. It's not your fault."
I sobbed into her arms as she held me and rocked me back and forth. When I finally pulled away, I saw Poe. He nodded at me before stalking off. I needed to go talk to him. I needed to make this right.
"Poe! Poe wait!" He stopped and turned towards me. "Look Poe, I'm sorry. I don't know what to say but—"
"Morgan, relationships are built on trust. Which means that this relationship wasn't built on anything because you've never trusted me to tell me anything. I can't be with someone who does that. Not right now at least. I'm sorry." He turned around and walked away, leaving me in shambles.
"Ben...you don't really feel this way, do you?"
"You were the one who said that there shouldn't be any Jedi in the first place," he whispered.
"But...not like this, Ben. There shouldn't be any Jedi or Sith, just a balance."
"But don't you see. This is the way to create a balance. There must be an opposition to the light. And there is so much light, it's time for some darkness."
"Ben, you're scaring me. What are you saying?" I felt myself shudder. I already knew what he was going to say.
"I'm saying, join me on the dark side. Become one with the Sith. I have already begun my training. Tonight, I will complete it. Please, I'm begging you."
"And I'm begging you to not do this Ben," I could feel the tears silently trickling down my face."My name isn't Ben anymore. It's Kylo Ren."
"I didn't want to have to do this, but you leave me no choice." I pulled out my lightsaber and turned to face him.
His green lightsaber flashed in my face as he pulled the hut down on us. I was able to escape in the nick of time. I swung at him, but he blocked me. He reached his hand out to pull the Jedi temple to the ground, but I counteracted him, pushing it back up. We battled for the temple: him trying to pull it down and me trying to hold it up.
"Ugh!" I screamed out as lightning shot from my hands pulling the temple down and engulfing it and the nearby huts in flames.
"You see what you are! You're a Palpatine. A Vader and a Palpatine are meant to rule. Take my hand." It would be so easy to be with him, to join him. But I couldn't.
"Morgan!" I heard Luke calling my name. He was beckoning me to a ship where I could escape. A young padawan ran towards Luke, but Kylo Ren reached out and force choked him.
I cried and begged him to stop but he didn't. That was when I knew I had to go. I climbed into Luke's ship and we sped away, leaving Kylo Ren and the training camp in shambles.
