I let out a groan as I was shaken awake by Tonks, I cracked my eyes open to look outside to see the sun barely popping up above the horizon.
"It's to early," I whined as the blankets were pulled off of me, "And to cold,"
"Come on get up, so you can report yourself as not missing," Tonk chuckled, "The quicker you get it done the quicker you can come back and sleep more," I let out a huff before getting up and getting dressed for the day. I put on a pair of mom jeans, followed with a tightly fitted black shirt with my brown leather jacket. I pulled on my boots, in which I stuffed my wand in before heading down the stairs. In the processes of going down the stairs I managed to trip over my own feet causing me to fall down the remaining four steps and landing right infront of my grandmothers portrait. I watched as the curtains that hid her portrait flew open. She began to scream at the top off her lungs calling us everything under the sun for disturbing her. I pushed myself up so I was facing her.
"Oh shut it would you!" I shouted at her, "Nothing but a loud mouth old hag!"
"Blood traitor bastard!" She shouted back at me.
"I will rip you off this damn wall, even if it takes me a decade and then burn you in a bon fire with great pleasure!" I shouted at her causing her to stop.
"Just who do you think you are!" She demanded, "This is my house!"
"I'm your granddaughter you dirty old wicked witch," I hissed at her as I grabbed her curtains and pulled them close.
"Piece of work that one," I huffed pointing back at the now covered portrait, as I walked up to the group standing there staring at me as if I had three heads, "What?"
"Nothing," Tonks just shook her head, "You ready?"
"Yeah, lets go!" I chiperly replied as I bounced towards the door.
"Are we sure she's not a little mental?" Kingsley questioned with a whisper.
"Mmm, I think we're all a little crazy," Tonks laughed.
"I can hear you, you know that right?" I questioned looking back at them.
"Apologizes for being concern after you just threatened a portrait with a bon fire that you'll take great pleasure in giving them,"
"Eh, she had it coming. I'm also not exactly known for my peaceful ways," I shrugged as we exited the house together, "I mean I did get into a physical altercation with Lucius at the World Cup,"
"You, got into a fight with our cousin, in a public place?" Tonks questioned with laughter in her voice.
"He started it, he grabbed me visit," I laughed, "Not very, pure-blood of him," I criticized, with a tut, "I mean even the quidditch players heard about it,"
"How do you know that?" She questioned with a laugh.
"Viktor Krum is one of my best friends now," I smiled, "All it took was me telling him he's not the greatest seeker alive, because he didn't know how to count. Which lead my Irish to a victory!" I cheered with bounce to my step.
"How could someone like her, be capable of murder," Kingsley questioned softly to the others as he took in cherful face and body language.
"You'll be surprised what one can do when they are put under pressure," Arthur murmured, as they followed behind Cassidy who charged forward with confidence, "Cassidy are you sure you know where you're going?"
"It's not my first visit to the Ministry," I called back, "I got special permission from Cornelius to enter through the employee entrance as well!" as finished as I walked down the stairs into Londons tube line before taking right heading into the hidden doorway that opened up into the main room of the Ministry of Magic. I walked up to the desk with confidence smiling at the worker who's mouth dropped at the sight of me.
"Hello," I greeted them as I came to a stop.
"Aren't you suppose to be missing?" They questioned me immediately.
"Apparently so," I nodded, "My cousin Tonks, contacted me once the story ran, and considering the fact I am not missing, well I had some questions,"
"Well, um, let me contact the Minister and let him know you are here, he was the one who insisted upon us putting you front and center. He was concerned about you, once he found out you were missing,"
"I knew he liked me," I chuckled as the wrote down something on a note before sending it off.
"Just give us a few minutes," He smiled at me.
"Of course," I nodded before turning around to find a place to sit while waiting, I waved to the others as they headed to each of their respective departments. With us being here so early the busy day of the Ministry hadn't quite started which led to a note landing on the mans desk within just two minutes.
"Cassidy, the Minister will see you know," He told me, "Do you know how to get there?"
"Yes I do, thank you," I nodded before getting up and heading towards the elevators to get to Corneilus's room. Once the quick ride of the elevator was over I took a second to get her myself in an attempt to not throw up everywhere. Once my stomach began to cooperate once again I finished my little trip.
"Head on in Cassidy," Clara his secretary nodded, "He's waiting for you,"
"Thank you Clara," I grinned as I walked straight into his office.
"Cassidy!" He called once he saw me.
"Hello Minister," I greeted, "How have you been?"
"Oh, I've been quite alright, what about you?" He questioned as he stood up and walked over towards me, "Once I heard you were missing I became quite worried,"
"Oh I've been quite alright Minister," I answered, "I've been spending my summer with my boyfriend in Romania. After everything that happened at the end of the school year, I just needed a break,"
"Ah yes, the grave yard, I was made aware that you were there, but we were unable to question you due to you on being Hogwarts, what do you remember of that night?"
"Honestly not much," I lied, "What I do remember is pain, as though a thousand hot knives were pressing into my skin all at once, I was a little out of it,"
"So you can't confirm that he-who-shall-not-be- named returned," He stated
"I can't unfortunately," I agreed sadly, "While I can't imagine my cousin lying to me about something so significant, but the idea that he-who-shall-not-be-named is back just seems absurd. What I do know is that dark magic was used heavily that night,"
"So you don't believe that he is back?" He questioned.
"If he was alive this whole time, I can't imagine him waiting fourteen years to come back," I shook my head, causing him to nod.
"Well that is good news to hear," He nodded, "So what can I do for you Cassidy?"
"I was just hopping to find out who reported me missing, because everyone that I am close to knew where I was," I explained.
"Let's go down to the Depertment of Magical Law Enforcment, they should have the report," I told me gesturing to the door, "I'll come with you so the process is sped up,"
"Thank you, Minister," I gave him a small nod before walking out with him before heading straight towards the department. Once again I felt nauseous as I stepped out of the elevator.
"You've been using the elevators for years and you still get sick," he chuckled
"What can I say, I have a week stomach," I chuckled as we walked in the department. Tonks was already stood there with the report.
"Here you go Cas," She winked as she handed me my report, causing me to flip through the couple of pages as I did a quick glance through to make sure it was all there.
"Well thank you for all of this Minister," I thanked them both, "Don't forget Minister, us Slytherins need to stick together during this trying time,"
"Of course, don't be a stranger Cassidy, you're welcome here whenever you wish," I gave him a final nod befre leaving the Ministry as a whole.
