Kaya wakes up colder than expected, she instinctively grabs the blanket covering both her and Jason, the blanket rubs on bare skin, which startles her, causing her to jolt up and grab her arm, which she feels no fur, only skin, human skin, much like her husband Jason. Jason wakes up to the noise and movement to see a human woman with wolf ears and a tail. Shocked at the woman who has a sense of familiarity too. Kaya reassures him that it's her, Jason puts his hand on her cheek to really seal the feeling down.

Jason and Kaya are in the kitchen trying to figure out how it happened. Jason was thinking about it, how it was right after his marriage with her....then it clicked, Jason ran back to his room, grabs his Bible, and started flipping pages as he reentered the kitchen until he found it. Jason says aloud, Mark 10:5-9 - "And Jesus answered and said to them, "Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation, God 'made them male and female.' 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."  says Jason as his mind slowly comes to a conclusion. Jason then explains to Kaya the context of the passage, on how when a man and woman wed together, they become one person in the eyes of God. "I hypothesize that God sees our love for each other, and allows us to wed, making us closer and giving you a more human form." He says as he lays his hand on the closed bible. Kaya nods and walks over to give Jason a big hug, Kaya is surprised at the feel of touching his skin with her skin, warm and soothing to her.

Kaya is in the living room trying to piece together her new form, she is both ecstatic on this new form as well as nervous. She'd never felt a sensation like this before, cool air caressing bare skin. When she first felt Jason caress her cheek, she felt her heart flutter more than when they kissed during the wedding. Her thought is that since his hand truly touched her cheek in this form instead of fur, the feeling was more genuine. Due to her not being used to the feeling of cool air around her, she had on one of Jason's flannel shirts, which she decided to keep since Jason had a whole collection of them in his closet, a red and black one, similar to what he usually wears when going to the den.

The two try to decide on how to tell their respective families, Jason concludes that his explanation will sit well with his family, but not sure on her family. He wonders on how well her family will take his explanation, will he be seen as too extravagant with his beliefs? Will Kaya be forcibly taken away and forbidden from being with him in hopes of her returning to her furred form? Many thoughts shot through his mind as he worried. He plans on revealing her human form to his parents another time. He just doesn't know when to reveal her form to her parents.

knock knock knock

"Hey Jason, Kaya! We forgot to give you something after the wedding so we came over to give it to you. We know you guys are probably tired and wouldn't return to the den after a while so we decided to come over." Aponivi was heard at his door. Kaya and Jason look at each other pale as snow, both shocked at this timing.

"It's now or never, I think the saying goes..." Kaya says as they both chuckle. Jason opens the door a bit and looks at the two anthro wolves, both with toothy smiles showing large canines. "It's a little sudden to show up!" Jason says with sarcasm. "Oh, did we interrupt something?" Aponivi said, returning g the sarcasm. "Well...something happened and we were trying to decide on how to tell you both..." Jason says with worry in his voice and face. "What do you mean Jason? Is everything alright? Rofl says as he let them both in after they wipe their paws on the welcome rug outside. Jason made a special rug for his boots/shoes and his in-law's paws for when it was muddy outside, which came in handy several times. After finishing and taking a step, Rofl spoke up, "I hope everything is alright with you two, you looked worried earlier." She says as she sets the wrapped gift on the counter, the gift was wrapped in rabbit hide with a simple hand-woven string on the top.

"We were trying to figure out how to explain what happened to you guys as best we could without causing issues. But since you're here now, I guess we have no choice..." Jason says as he signals Kaya to enter the room. The two furred wolves looked at Jason confusingly until Kaya entered the room, causing both of their jaws to drop. Kaya had a human appearance, with some differences to show she wasn't fully human, her face had black markings similar to her furred form, they reminded Jason of freckles which he found cute, her ears were the same as her furred form, light brown with black at the tip and around the ear. Her tail was largely visible, black markings also laid across the light brown fur, her legs and arms were human, just her ears, face markings, and tail were more akin to her furred form.

They all sat down on the couch, Jason tried his best to explain his hypothesis on her form. "The God I believe in works in mysterious ways, and I believe that this is a good example of how he approves of us being together." He concludes, both his and Kaya's hearts were pounding, waiting for her parents to speak, Jason had his bible on the table in front of them to show off the passages inside he earlier explained to Kaya. Aponivi opened his mouth to speak. "It's not that I don't believe it, it's that I don't understand. I understand it was a higher being that caused this and I really approve of it. It shows how close you both are and that even our creator approves it. If you may, I'd like to read more about this book you explained with, it really intrigues me, and I'd like to know more." Aponivi admits, "Would you mind if we borrow your book?" Rofl asks. Their statements caught both Jason and Kaya off-guard, they weren't surprised on how well they took it. "I got more Bibles in storage I can just give you both one, I always have a few extra for whatever reason. I got a few different versions so I'll give you both the one I was first given, it also has explanations of passages and chapters, it really helped me understand what things were said and meant." Jason says as he goes and retrieves the books, returning with a third one in case Kotori also wanted one. Aponivi left Kotori in charge in his absence, they reassured Jason to warn him beforehand when Kotori comes over to visit eventually (likely the following day since he gets bored easily).

As things settled down and they all ate dinner, lasagna, Aponivi and Rofl said their goodbyes after giving Kaya and Jason a tight hug, Rofl especially to Kaya in her new form, trying to also get used to the feeling of skin on her daughter. After the two left, Jason and Kaya slumped down on the couch with a huge sigh of relief. "That went far better than what I would have expected," Jason says as he wraps his arms around Kaya as she lays atop him, hugging her from below.

"I was worried they wouldn't approve of your explanation and take me away, I never in a million years would expect them to be more interested in Christianity." She says in reply. Kaya learned so much more about Jason's religion throughout the time the two lived together, Jason read a few chapters of his bible before bed, which caused her to get interested in what he was reading about, in which Jason decided to get her one, much like the ones he gave to her parents just a while ago. Now, every night, the two would read together, in their dark bedroom with a lamp on both sides of the bed.

"Yeah, I'm now worried about what they'll think about it after reading it." He says, Jason looked down at Kaya and looked at her amber eyes, the ceiling lights glistening in her eyes, made his heart beat a bit more. Kaya nuzzles her human nose into his chest, and Jason in return, starts petting her head, combing her head, causing Kaya to slowly fall asleep, in which Jason then follows suit.

=================================

Surprising right? Kaya has a new form! And she is more like her husband! Sorry, it got more religious, it's my explanation of how she gained her new form. I believe it made sense, I never explained how the wolves and felines go to their more animal-like forms so I'm just gonna say its God's design *shrug*. Anyways, we are almost done, just one more chapter left and I believe it will be soon, I got some done and just need to get to writing. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and I hope to see ya in the next one!
