A week later, Chuuya received a text from his friends. Lucy and Higuchi texted him in their group chat to ask for Operation Mackerel's update. He's topless on his bed while drying his hair. In a few weeks, he'll be out of the country with Dazai for the competition and it's a good thing that the bandage-wasting bastard is a fast learner.

I've memorized the list but the paper's missing. Can you send me the digital copy if you have any?
Higuchi texted the list back, and he thanked her.
From Lucy:
Any progress so far?
From Chuuya:
Negative. No signs of jealousy whatsoever.
From Higuchi:
Bruh.
From Lucy:
Bruh.
From Higuchi:
Sometimes I wonder what's the point of us being the friend for comedic relief if the main character's an actual joke.
From Higuchi:
I mean, no offense, manager.
From Chuuya:
Remind me to cut your salary this month.
From Lucy:
No, seriously, Chuuya. It's been— what? Months? Months! It's almost a year! But you're so dense to the point that I won't be surprised if you died single.
From Chuuya:
I'll cut your salary, too.
From Lucy:

From Higuchi:
Hey! Have some respect for my brother-in-law!
From Chuuya:
Nevermind. I've done three operations that failed but there are still seven more so I guess it ain't bad at all.
From Higuchi:
No worries. We've prepared amazing surprises for you to make sure things will turn out well while you're honeymooning in a different country.
