CHAPTER 21

"You're too close, bastard," Chuuya whispers, and Dazai pulls away slightly and stares into his eyes. Chuuya can hear the graceful songs of angels and the loud rants of BNHA's fandom with the manga's ending with their closeness.

Dazai's no longer smiling, but his eyes aren't leaving him at all. "Am I?"

Because he's built different, Chuuya tilts his face and lean even closer, his eyes soften, before smirking. Without thinking properly, he whispered, "Yeah, and you look beautiful up close like this, 'ya know?"

That seems to have caught Dazai off guard as his eyes widen a little, ruining his dangerous facade. Chuuya chuckles and grabs Dazai's chin with enough force to restrain the brunette's movement. He licks his lips and hums to himself.

"When you're looking this pretty, it makes me want to kiss you."

Dazai only blinks once and Chuuya pushes him away. The man didn't even fight back. He just sat back on the passenger's seat dumbly as if processing what he just heard.

Chuuya removed his seatbelts and walked out of the car. The fresh breeze of air washed all the remaining heterosexuality in his veins. He inhales it back because he's not gay, and that's when he realizes what he said—

Did he tell Dazai that he will never touch the chocolates?

Chuuya blinks. No . It feels as if he said something stupid, but he already forgot what he said. It's just that he was so focused on staring at Dazai that his lips probably said something. Did he say something? Nevermind. He'll remember it someday.

After a few minutes, with Dazai still staring dumbfounded on the car's front, Chuuya finally pulled him inside the house to start training again. At first, Chuuya gave him the basics of baking a cake. What must be done, and what cannot be done. Chuuya also discusses some fundamentals in brewing coffee, and Dazai listens intently while also being a menace.

"Too fine a grind will trap water, resulting in a bitter, unpleasant brew. A grind that is too coarse leaves coffee weak and without unique flavor. You must be mindful of grinding when preparing coffee," Chuuya said, while his hands grind on the coffee beans. "Like this."

Chuuya professionally grind the beans until they turn coarse. It will result in a thick, flavorful, and rich coffee taste. Dazai watches and even lowers down to check the thickness of the grind. He nods.

"All you have to do is grind it properly?"

"That's exactly what I said, yes."

Dazai nods as if he's deeply contemplating the process, "What if it's too hard to grind? Should I grind faster and rougher?"

Chuuya stares at the granules too and thinks, "It depends on the thickness of the beans that you're using. But I recommend grinding it harder when the beans are too thick."
