SEASON 3, EP. 8
A Very Supernatural Christmas (pt.1)

One month. It had been one month since Sam saw what Beau was and what he did. The night still plays on repeat in his head, the way Beau looked, the deep guttural growl he let out and especially the way he took out Gordon. Sam was honestly surprised Dean hadn't woken up throughout that whole ordeal. He could only imagine what he would've done if he was awake.

Sam had tried cornering Beau on multiple occasions. More specifically, when they were hunting and they had to split up, each time, it was a failed attempt. It was either Dean told Sam to stay back and do research while him and Beau went to interview victims, or Beau had found his own lead and went separate from the brothers.

That's why Sam had been following Beau around the whole morning while he was investigating around the house. Three days to Christmas, and her husband had been kidnapped.

Beau had tried talking to the woman's daughter and asking her questions, but she would only ever say that 'Santa kidnapped daddy'. Beau had asked what she meant, but she had only described it as hearing footsteps on the roof of the house, then hearing a thud downstairs where her father was and then her mother's frantic voice.

Beau looked around the living room, more specifically, but really couldn't find anything out of place safe for the Christmas tree, which had a few decorations and pine needles littered all over the floor.

"I'm really not finding or seeing too much here. Are we sure it wasn't just a normal kidnapping?" Sam asked. He stood across the living room looking for any sort of evidence.

Beau shook his head and stood up with a sigh, "yea, neither am I, but what would a person have to gain from kidnapping someone three days before Christmas. Plus, there's no sign of a break-in."

Sam watched Beau, this was one of the few moments they have had alone, of there was any time to interrogate him now would be one of his only chances. "Are we ever gonna talk about what happened that night?"

Beau looked at him with raised brows and pursed lips for a moment before composing himself, "why should we have to talk about it? You saw it yourself. Pretty self-explanatory."

"No. I want to talk about it. Like how it happened, why you, and if i'm able to keep on trusting you."

Beau shook his head, a disbelieved laugh escaping him at Sam's words. "Honestly, Sam, don't you think I might've done something to you guys by now if I wanted to hurt you." Beau watched Sam for a moment before speaking again. "So why now of all times are you questioning me? Especially after i've helped you with hunt after hunt and after i've saved your guys' asses."

Sam swallowed thickly at his words, given that he did have somewhat of a point in what he said.

"But just to ease you up, how about after this hunt, we go for a drive and talk about it? Would that be okay with you?"

Sam looked at him for a moment before nodding, "yea-yea. I'd appreciate that a lot. Thank you."

Beau nodded before he made his way to the front door with Sam following behind him. Passing through the front door, Beau stopped abruptly at the smell of something so beautifully sweet.

Sam watched him with furrowed brows as Beau sniffed the air, "what are you doing?"

"You don't smell that?"

"I mean, I smell something, but I guess not as strong as you."

Beau looked around the living room one last time before shrugging it off and walking outside to Dean and the victims wife.
