ONSRA [MALEOC]

[CHAPTER 2]

Beau had went into town upon waking up in the graveyard to look for any leads on the demons that escaped from the gate but so far came up with nothing, sighing in frustration he decided to take a break and go find a place to eat, finding a diner across the street from where he sat with his motorcycle.

Beau was hit with the strong aroma of coffee and syrup upon entering the diner, "welcome to Johnny J's Diner, we'll be right with you!" quickly finding a seat seeing as there wasn't many people occupying the joint, sitting down he let out of breath.

"Good morning-" jumping in surprise Beau looked up at the voice coming from in front of him, "--oh sorry did i scare you sir?" The woman in front of him questioned but Beau just stared at her, the demon inside him becoming restless when the woman came near him, "sir?" Beau blinked back to reality upon hearing the womans voice.

"Sorry, i was just staring at your eyes," Beau nervously replied, not because of the woman but because of what lurked inside of her, "yea, very pretty".

The woman smiled brightly at him, "thank you," Beau smiled in reply.

"Well my name is Lorelei and i will be your server today, can I start you off with something to drink?"

"I'll just have a water."

Lorelei jotted it down on her notepad before lifting her head back towards him, "okay i'll get that to you and i'll come back in 10 to get your order." The woman turned and walked away, swaying her hips in the process.

Beau just smirked while averting his gaze towards the window next to him, daydreaming.

What am I even supposed to be looking for? I mean tracking demons can't be that hard. If I can find damned souls I can find demons. I don't want to but maybe I could ask Mephi-

"Okay here is your water," Lorelei's voice interrupted his thoughts when she walked over with a tall glass of water, draging the glass towards him Beau gave her a tight lipped smile before giving out a "thank you."

Lorelei looked at him for a second before grabbing her notepad from the front of her apron.

'Weird.'

"Are you ready to order?"

Raising his eyebrows and blinking Beau stared at her before looking at the menu, " yea, can I get the steak with eggs over easy."

Lorelei jotted it down, took the menu from him and smiled before walking away

'That was creepy'

Beau continued to watch her even while she waited other tables not really caring if someone saw him, he was so focused on her and what she was doing that he didn't even notice the two men walking in and sitting at a table not to far from him.

Beau watched as Lorelei walked over with his food glancing at the men, "i'll be right with you two," the two men just smiled and nodded, setting the plate in front of Beau she smiled at him before asking if he needed anything else, "nope, I think we're good," she smiled  before turning her back to him to take the two men's orders, eventually walking away once they ordered. The man with dirty blonde hair watched her walk off before tilting his head with raised eyebrows and a smirk on his face towards the male with long brunette hair, who was to say the least not surprised with his antics.

Beau huffed through his nose with a smirk on his face when he saw the look the brunette was giving the dirty blonde one.

They're cute

Returning his attention back to his food Beau cut into his steak, Beau internally jumped up and down when the food reached his mouth.

God this is so good, I wonder what seasoning they used because I need to invest in it right no-

"Listen to this, woman says she was saved by someone with a motorcycle that was on fire," Beau paused in lifting his fork of food to his mouth but quickly caught himself and shoved it into his mouth while listening in on the two's conversation. The dirty blonde gave the brunette a quizzical look, "a motorcycle on fire? And we're sure this woman wasn't on any drugs?"

"Not that I know of," he furrowed his brows and slightly squinted his eyes at the computer screen, "nope doesn't say anything about her being on drugs... wait it says here that she described the being as tall, really thin, like bone thin oh and let's not forget, his skull was on fire," the brunette stated matter of factly while returning his gaze back to the other man.

"Do you know the woman's name?"

"Uh, it says right here her name is McKenzie Hurst," the brunette replied looking at the male, the blonde slightly shook his head up and down, "do you think it was released from the gate last night?" Those words really caught Beau's attention.

They were obviously there when it was opened, maybe they can help me, actually that might be a bad idea because they're talking about me but they don't know it's me, maybe i can pose as whatever they are, who the hell are these guys?

"I mean anything could've came out Dean, so maybe..." The two stopped talking about the gate once they realized Lorelei was carrying their food to the table, "okay here is your food, let me know if you need anything."

"Hey um Lorelei can I have the check, please?" Beau asked her before she walked off with a small smile and nod she continued her journey back to the counter.

This is going to suck why did I even agree to do this, now Mephistopheles is going to keep bugging me, the one thing I wanted to avoid

" Here you go," Lorelei's voice sound out right next to him, taking the check from her she walked away before stopping in her tracks to look at Beau to see him motioning for her to come back over towards him,  stopping in front of him he softly whispered to her "do you know where the library is?" Lorelei gave a curt nod, " it's on the next street over across from the antique shop," Beau nodded to her in thanks, she just nodded turning around to continue her shift. Finally looking down at the receipt Beau fished his wallet out of his pocket, throwing a twenty dollar bill on the table. Good thing he was good at poker. Getting out of the booth he sat in, he quickly left, not before glancing at the two men.

Unbeknownst to Beau, those two men weren't far behind him.
