June 14th, Nine Years Old

SOPHIA had been around nine years old when one time late at night, after Belly & Steven had gone to bed, Jeremiah and Conrad had convinced her to watch a scary movie with them. Sophia was perfect for their tricks. 1. She'd do anything her "Cool" older brothers told her to 2. She was terrified of anything scary. They'd just finished the movie on Conrad's bed, Conrad on his signature right side of the bed and Jeremiah dominating the Left, leaving Sophia squished in the middle, absolutely terrified.

"See, it wasn't that bad," Jeremiah told her with a mischievous grin on his face.

"It was terrifying," said Young Sophia, sinking deeper into the blankets. Conrad laughed at her scared state, tucking in the blanket tighter around her.

"You're fine. Nobody from the movie is going to come and get you." He said reassuringly.

"Well, you never know." Jeremiah said playfully, "There could always be a serial killer who likes little nine-year-old girls with dirty blonde hair." Sophia gasped as Jeremiah and Conrad laughed.

"Jere, you're going to scare her," Conrad said in between laughs. "Don't worry, Soph, there's no serial killer like he says."

"You never know," Jeremiah said, shrugging before settling back into the bed.

"Jeremiah, stop messing with her," Conrad said, his voice more serious this time.

"I hate you guys," Sophia told them, a smile creeping on her face. Even though her brothers were certainly super annoying, she enjoyed spending moments like this with them and knew they'd never let anything happen to her.

"You're going to give me a nightmare." She told them, rolling her eyes. Conrad draped an arm around her.

"You'll live." He said, rolling his eyes.

I missed moments like those where my brothers and I were as close, and don't get me wrong, it's not as if we aren't close, but recently this summer, after Conrad quit football, it seemed like he was distancing himself more and more from everyone

I missed moments like those where my brothers and I were as close, and don't get me wrong, it's not as if we aren't close, but recently this summer, after Conrad quit football, it seemed like he was distancing himself more and more from everyone. And well, Jeremiah, Jeremiah was Super outgoing and with new people every week.
