I WAS awoken by birds chirping from outside my window, the sunlight streaming in, and a terrible headache. After Ethan brought me the shoes, I don't remember anything that went down last night. I look down at my body, noticing I'm still in my dress from last night, and Gigi's heels are thrown on the floor next to me. I grab a water bottle from my nightstand and chug it in one sip. How much did I drink last night? But at least It's Belly's birthday, I guess? We haven't seen a lot of each other this summer, which is weird. We used to always be super close during the summer. I slowly exited my bed and made my teal-patterned white sheets. I changed into a pair of white low-waisted shorts and a pink frilly top and brushed through my messy blonde hair until it looked somewhat regular. I walked down the beach house stairs, my head still hurting but trying to power through for Belly. We were sisters, even if we didn't talk that much this summer. I sat down on a kitchen stool next to Conrad and took a sip of the fruit punch Susannah had made.
Belly shuffled down the stairs and appeared. "Morning, Everyone," She said with a smile on her face.
"Hey," Shouted everyone around the room when Belly walked in. Susannah walked up to her and gave her a big hug.
"There's the birthday girl, looking like a vision in floral." She said, chuckling, "Happy birthday."
Next in line was Jeremiah, walking up to her and having to bend down to hug her, "Happy sweet, Bells." He told her.
I ran up to her next, "Happy Birthday, Belly." I told her, hugging her tightly. "That floral compliments you perfectly!" I said with a smile on my face. Belly hugged me back before I made my way back to the kitchen island stool.
"Now Belly Button's getting old finally," Steven said, taking a bite of a piece of bacon. I was still so mad at him for spilling that drink on my shoes and embarrassing me in front of Ethan, but I was going to try not to let it bother me for Belly."Happy birthday."
"Thanks, Everyone!" Belly cheered with a big grin on her face. She looked super happy; maybe something had happened with Cam recently. We hadn't talked since we crashed her date.
"Shall we open gifts?" Susannah announced, with a box in her hands.
Jeremiah smiled, "Oh, you're gonna love mine."
"No, mine is probably way better than whatever Jere got you," I told her with a wink.
She laughed, "No way mine is way better." He replied, rolling his eyes.
