WE slowly approached the spot next to Belly and Cam. Belly immediately noticed us, rolled her eyes, and said something to Cam as she stepped out and walked to the concession stand.
"Guys, are we sure this is a good idea?" I asked as I read Belly's annoyed expression.
"Pftt, we'll be fine. Stop worrying so much," Steven replied as he and Jere started to make fake kissing noises to annoy Belly. She stood up from her seat and opened the door, rapidly pulling Steven's door open with an angry expression.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" She shouted.
"Uh, just catching the end of our favorite movie," Steven said as the boys started laughing, I laughed a bit, too, but tried not to before Belly yelled at me, too.
"You have no right! You have to go!" She said, her voice on her breaking point.
"Oh, Belly, relax. We-we were just joking around." Jeremiah told her in between laughs.
"You too, Sophia?" She said, her voice hurt. I shrugged, not like Belly had been very nice to me this summer. Usually, me and Bells would hang out all summer, go swimming late at night, have secret sleepovers, and go get ice cream together. But this summer, we had not, it was just different.
"Steven, if you don't leave, I swear to God I will send everyone in this car your Dramione fanfic." She told Steven, you could almost see the panic on his face. Me, Jere, and Conrad started dying laughing.
"You wouldn't," Steven said, shaking his head.
"Oh, he spent an entire chapter talking about Draco's wand," Belly said sarcastically, shocked as Steven's face started turning red.
"Bro," Conrad said as the 2 of us in the backseat started laughing.
"Steven, come on. You know, don't be embarrassed, man. Draco's hot." Jeremiah told him in between giggles, trying to be reassuring.
"Drop it. Drop it." Steven said stubbornly before turning his attention back to Belly.
"Please leave." She said quietly, her face saying defeat, the car went silent.
" All right, let's go, guys," Conrad said as Belly shut the door, which was weird coming from Conrad. The same Conrad that threw water balloons at me to wake me up on my birthday. The same Conrad that teased Belly for weeks when she had her first boyfriend.
"What?" was heard from Jeremiah and Steven, confused by Conrad's sudden change of heart.
"Steven, drive the car," Belly shouted, starting to make her way back to Cam's car.
"You were the one who wanted to come, Conrad," Steven said, rolling his eyes and backing up.
The car fell into an uncomfortable silence as Steven reversed out of the drive-in parking lot. Jeremiah's usual jokes died down, and Conrad seemed to sink into himself, staring out the window without saying a word. I looked over at him, confused. He'd been the one pushing us to crash Belly's date, but the second things got tense, he bailed.
