In the events where the protags are all present in DB like it was traditionally, things might've stayed the same, but the process would be so different, and it might affect the end results due to feelings that weren't there in the original.
Please note, this is just my personal interpretation with nothing holding it back aside from my own imaginations and delusions with headcanons. Don't take it as if it's actually gonna be how the scenario will play out, as once again, this is just a one-shot made by yours truly, and if you know me, you'll know how it'll turn out. Haucuxitcyoci-
Also, I didn't watch majority of DB cuz I left the season along with the fandom during early stages, so there are most definitely gonna be inaccuracies within the writing, so I apologize about that first before you advanced to this one-shot.

"Tell me, did I do something wrong along the way?"
Those are the questions thrown by our resident beloved older bluenette, the legend of legends.
Valt Aoi.
His shining brown eyes are watery, quietly rushing streams of colorless and salty liquid out from his eyes and onto his cheeks until it falls onto his palms that are placed on his lap, but his voice is as stable as it can be. Those hands of his, gripped onto the cloth of his pants as if he doesn't want to believe the reality he lives in at the moment, but is forced to recognize what has transpired as the grip is a form of reality check for him.
His gaze does not leave the empty battle stage, despite the stadium being completely empty with no one else except the both of them in sight. His gazes are fixed to his desired direction, never once leaving the sights, even as he talks.
His best friend since childhood, a tall white haired guy with crimson eyes stood beside him, Shu Kurenai, not sitting beside him as he did not intend to sit. Rather, he intends to pick his friend up because the others realized he wasn't with them by the time they left the stadium.
"From my opinion and perspective? I feel like you haven't done anything wrong." He replied simply and honestly.
You can call him biased or whatever, but he's trying to be neutral in this situation backed up with his general observation, as he's fully aware that his friend isn't looking for someone who would just agree with just because they're a friend of Valt.
But even as he said that, there's no reassurance, nor was there any confirmation of anything.
He felt like he had failed.
Was there any way he could've changed it? Maybe he delivered his lessons wrong? Or was there something that he said that doesn't sound right, that's why he took it wrongly?
But all of it leads to the exact same result.
Changing anything doesn't change the result whatsoever.
Has he actually failed?
Could that be it?
"You won't be able to think clearly being suffocated in an empty quiet room and an empty stomach. Bell invited everyone for dinner, and Jiji is making everyone's favorite food. C'mon now, or else the Demon King is gonna be all cranky." Shu said, with the last sentence clearly meant to be a joke.
That seemed to have worked, since the bluenette chuckled before taking out his handkerchief from his vest inside-pocket to get rid of the tears on his eyes and whatever's left of the traces of the salty liquid. Hopefully his nose isn't red, cause that'll be a huge takeaway, and he doesn't want anyone to get all worried over him.
