That night, Jin followed Jungkook into a room he never would have imagined existed in a mafia lord's mansion. His eyes widened in disbelief as he took in the sight: a beautifully decorated children's room, filled with toys, plush animals, and a huge bed that seemed to be made just for Haru. The walls were painted in soft colors, and a few fairy lights twinkled from the ceiling, giving the whole room a magical feel.

Haru, naturally, was over the moon. He let out an excited gasp and ran straight toward the pile of toys, giggling as he began to play with everything in sight. Jin, however, stood frozen at the doorway, utterly confused.

"Do mafias just casually have kids' rooms like this?" Jin asked, scratching his head, bewildered by the luxury and thoughtfulness that seemed out of place for someone like Jungkook.

Jungkook let out a soft chuckle, leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed. “Nah, this was specially made... for our son.”

Jin's mind screeched to a halt. “Oh... wait, WHAT?” he blurted out, nearly tripping over his own feet as he spun around to face Jungkook, his eyes wide with shock.

Jungkook stared back at him, expression calm but his lips curling into a mischievous smile. “What? I said our son. What are you looking at me for?” he replied casually, shrugging like it was the most natural thing in the world.

Jin blinked rapidly, his brain scrambling to process what he'd just heard. Did he... did he hear that right? “Did you just say ‘our’ son?” he asked again, this time slower, hoping for some clarification that made sense.

Jungkook smirked, clearly enjoying the effect his words were having. “Yeah. You, me, Haru. Our son.”

Jin’s face turned crimson, and he stared at Jungkook like he'd grown another head. “What are you even saying? He's my son, not—” Jin stuttered, but before he could finish, Haru’s giggles echoed through the room, distracting him.

“Look, Appa! I have so many toys now!” Haru exclaimed, his little face lighting up with joy as he held up a new stuffed bear.

Jin forced a smile, feeling his heart soften at the sight of Haru’s happiness. “I see, baby... it’s a lot, huh?” Jin replied, kneeling down beside his son, still trying to make sense of what Jungkook had said.

Jungkook crouched down beside them, his gaze softening as he looked at Haru. “He deserves the best, doesn't he?”

Jin glanced at Jungkook from the corner of his eye, still flustered. “But why... why did you say our son? You barely know him.”

Jungkook shrugged, giving a nonchalant smile. “I’ve been keeping an eye on you both for a while now. Haru’s a good kid. You did a great job raising him. And well... now you’re here, it’s only right that I take care of my family.”

Jin’s heart skipped a beat at the word ‘family,’ his mind racing. This guy was impossible to read. Was he serious, or was he just messing with him again?

"You're not serious," Jin muttered, running a hand through his hair, still trying to wrap his head around everything. “You can’t just decide things like that.”

Jungkook leaned closer, his voice low. “I’m very serious, Jin. I don’t take family lightly. And whether you like it or not, I’m going to be part of yours now.”

Jin’s breath caught in his throat. “You can’t just force your way into my life,” he whispered back, trying to sound firm but feeling unsure.

“I’m not forcing anything,” Jungkook replied, his tone teasing but with an underlying intensity. “I’m just telling you how it’s going to be.”
