Meanwhile, in a dimly lit warehouse, Jungkook sighed heavily as he watched his men brutally beating the hell out of a man who had dared to cross him. The cold, ruthless side of his mafia persona was on full display, but inside, all he could think about was going home, seeing his pretty wife, and kissing those perfect lips again.

He sank down onto a worn leather couch, resting his leg against the man’s hand, who screamed in agony beneath him. But Jungkook’s mind was far away, lost in thoughts of Jin. He couldn’t help but wonder what kind of idiot would leave someone as beautiful as Jin behind. The contrast between Jin’s unique, cute nature and the darkness surrounding his life felt like a cruel joke.

“Where were you all these years?” he thought, frustration gnawing at him. “What was I doing when I didn’t even know about you?”

Jin’s ex, Kim Hanbin, was nothing special—just a mediocre man who had taken advantage of Jin’s kindness. Compared to Jin, he was a nobody. Jungkook couldn't fathom how Jin had ever been with him. Hanbin was just a parasite, draining Jin’s energy and spirit, while he was oblivious to the true treasure standing right before him.

Hanbin had often borrowed money from Jungkook, a fact that had grated on his nerves for far too long. The realization that he had never known about Jin only fueled his anger. Hanbin had squandered a jackpot of a partner, and Jungkook was determined to claim that prize for himself. He’d do whatever it took to ensure that Jin would be by his side. “Who cares about money or debt?” he mused. “If it means keeping pretty face with me longer, I’d gladly increase the debt.”

As he contemplated this, a pang of jealousy stirred within him. He loved Haru; the boy was a ray of sunshine. But the fact that Haru was Jin’s son from another man ignited a flicker of annoyance in Jungkook’s chest. “He might not be Jin’s first child,” he thought, “but I’ll make damn sure I’m his last in everything.”

With that resolution burning in his heart, Jungkook shifted his focus back to the chaos unfolding in the warehouse. He had a business to run and a family to protect. But all he could think about was getting home to Jin and Haru, where he truly belonged. He wanted to show them that he could be more than just a mafia lord—he could be a husband and a father, ready to create a new life filled with love and laughter.

Jungkook returned home, eager to pick up Haru, but he found out that Jin had already taken him out for a little adventure after getting a bit bored. As he stepped inside, he was greeted by the warm embrace of his little boy.

“Hello there, little man,” Jungkook said, grinning as he kissed Haru’s cheeks, feeling his heart swell with affection.

Just then, he spotted Jin approaching, and without a second thought, he pulled Jin close and pressed his lips against his. The kiss was soft but filled with longing, the kind of kiss that spoke of everything he wanted to say.

However, Jin panicked, quickly turning his head away. “Yah! What are you doing? Are you out of your mind? Haru’s still here!”

Jungkook chuckled, slightly embarrassed but unable to hide his amusement at Jin’s flustered reaction. “Come on, I just missed you,” he said, trying to play it off. “You can’t expect me to wait until Haru’s asleep to steal a kiss from my wife, right?”

Jin rolled his eyes, trying to suppress the smile that threatened to break free. “You could at least wait until we’re alone. What if he sees? He’s too young for this!”

Haru, oblivious to the grown-up drama, tugged at Jungkook’s sleeve with a bright smile. “Scary uncle, can we play now? Can we? Can we?”

“Of course!” Jungkook replied, instantly shifting his attention to Haru. “What do you want to play, buddy?”
