Several days had passed, and Jin had slowly settled into life at Jungkook’s estate. Despite his initial resistance, he found himself getting used to the large house, the extravagant lifestyle, and even Jungkook’s presence. However, one thing remained constant—Jungkook’s overwhelming possessiveness and protectiveness.
One afternoon, Jin was sitting in the garden, enjoying the quiet moment while Haru played nearby. It had become a routine for them to enjoy the outdoors together, giving Jin some much-needed peace. Haru was happily chasing butterflies when a voice interrupted Jin's thoughts.
“Mr. Kim, you have a visitor.”
Jin looked up to see one of Jungkook’s men standing at the edge of the garden. He frowned. A visitor? Who would be visiting me here? Before he could ask, a familiar figure emerged from behind the guard.
It was an old acquaintance from Jin’s past—an ex-colleague from his teaching days. The man smiled warmly, waving as he approached. “Jin! Long time no see! I was in the area and thought I’d stop by.”
Jin stood up, surprised but happy to see a familiar face. “Oh, hey! It’s been a while. How did you know I was here?”
“I heard you were staying with some… powerful company,” his friend replied, glancing around with a slightly wary expression. “Figured I’d check on you.”
Before Jin could respond, he felt a sudden, cold presence behind him. Jungkook had appeared, his expression unreadable but his eyes sharp as they fixated on the visitor.
“Who’s this?” Jungkook’s voice was low, almost dangerous.
Jin blinked, taken aback by the sudden tension. “He’s just an old friend. We used to work together,” he explained quickly, sensing the shift in Jungkook’s demeanor.
The man smiled awkwardly and extended his hand to Jungkook. “Ah, you must be Jungkook. Nice to meet you, I’m—”
Before he could finish, Jungkook didn’t shake his hand. Instead, he stepped in front of Jin, subtly placing himself between Jin and the visitor. “What do you want?” Jungkook asked, his voice icy, ignoring the man’s attempt at pleasantries.
The atmosphere grew thick with tension. Jin could feel the possessiveness radiating off Jungkook as he stood protectively in front of him, his broad shoulders blocking most of Jin’s view of his friend.
“Jungkook, it’s fine. He’s just saying hi—” Jin tried to interject, but Jungkook shot him a glance that made him fall silent. There was a fierce intensity in Jungkook’s eyes, one that told Jin this wasn’t just a simple encounter to him.
The visitor, sensing the hostility, took a step back. “I didn’t mean to intrude. I just wanted to check on Jin. I’ll be going now.”
“Good,” Jungkook said flatly, his eyes never leaving the man. “And don’t come back.”
As the man hurriedly left, Jungkook’s posture relaxed, but his eyes remained dark. He turned to Jin, his expression softening but still laced with possessiveness. “You shouldn’t entertain strangers like that.”
Jin frowned, stepping around Jungkook to face him. “He’s not a stranger. He’s a friend, and you didn’t have to act like that. What’s your problem?”
Jungkook’s jaw clenched, his eyes narrowing slightly. “My problem is that you don’t realize how dangerous it is for you here. Anyone could be a threat. I won’t let anyone near you if I don’t trust them.”
Jin crossed his arms, glaring up at him. “You can’t just decide who I talk to! You’re being ridiculous.”
Jungkook stepped closer, his eyes burning with a mix of frustration and something deeper. “I’m protecting you, Jin. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep you and Haru safe.”
Jin swallowed, his heart racing at the intensity in Jungkook’s voice. He knew there was no arguing with him when he was like this. “Fine,” Jin muttered, turning away. “But don’t scare off every person who tries to talk to me.”
Jungkook reached out, gently grabbing Jin’s arm to stop him from walking away. “I won’t lose you,” he said softly, his tone shifting to something more vulnerable. “Not to anyone.”
Jin looked up, meeting Jungkook’s gaze. The possessiveness in his eyes was undeniable, but there was also something deeper—an unspoken fear of losing him. Jin sighed, shaking his head. “You’re impossible, Jungkook.”
Jungkook smiled, his grip on Jin’s arm loosening but still holding him close. “You’ll get used to it.”
A few days later, Jin found himself in a surreal situation as Jungkook had, yet again, gone overboard with his pampering. This time, it wasn’t just about Jin—it was both him and Haru.
It all started when Jungkook noticed Haru's shoes were a bit worn out. Rather than simply replacing them, Jungkook had one of his assistants bring in a massive selection of shoes for Haru to choose from. It was a whole mini fashion show for a seven-year-old. And as if that wasn’t enough, Jungkook had also arranged for a luxurious day of pampering for Jin.
Jin sat in one of the living room’s plush chairs, his eyes wide with disbelief as Haru excitedly tried on different pairs of shoes, each more extravagant than the last. Haru twirled around, showing off to Jin.
“Appa! Look at these! They light up!” Haru’s eyes sparkled as the shoes blinked with colorful lights.
Jin sighed, rubbing his temples. “Jungkook, this is too much. He’s a kid, not a runway model.”
Jungkook, lounging on the couch with a smug smile, merely shrugged. “He’s your kid, which means he deserves the best.”
Jin rolled his eyes. “And what about me? What’s with this whole ‘pampering session’ you’ve planned?”
Jungkook’s smile widened as he leaned back, clearly enjoying himself. “You’ve been stressed lately. I thought you could use a day off. So, I’ve arranged a private spa day. Massages, facials, whatever you want.”
Jin crossed his arms, trying not to let his surprise show. “You’re kidding, right?”
“I never kid when it comes to taking care of my family,” Jungkook said seriously, his voice dropping an octave as he glanced at Jin, his gaze soft yet possessive. “You and Haru are my priority.”
Jin blinked, taken aback by the sincerity in Jungkook’s voice. He didn’t quite know how to respond to that. Jungkook, noticing Jin’s silence, got up and walked over to him. Without warning, he crouched down beside Jin, gently lifting his hand.
“You deserve to be pampered, Jin. You take care of everyone else, but who takes care of you?”
Jin opened his mouth to protest, but no words came out. He felt something stir inside him—maybe it was the fact that Jungkook had a point, or maybe it was the gentle way Jungkook was holding his hand.
“You and Haru mean the world to me,” Jungkook continued, his voice soft but firm. “So let me take care of you for once.”
Jin sighed, feeling his resolve weaken as he looked into Jungkook’s eyes. He hated to admit it, but a part of him appreciated Jungkook’s efforts, even if he went overboard sometimes.
“Fine,” Jin muttered, looking away. “But don’t make a habit of this.”
Jungkook chuckled, his thumb brushing over Jin’s hand. “No promises.”
Just then, Haru bounded over, his new shoes lighting up with every step. “Appa! Look at me!”
Jin smiled, ruffling Haru’s hair. “You look great, buddy.”
Jungkook stood up, watching the two of them with a soft smile. “Alright, Haru. How about we go out for ice cream after this?”
Haru’s eyes lit up. “Really? Yay!”
Jin shot Jungkook a look. “You’re spoiling him, you know that?”
Jungkook smirked. “What can I say? I like spoiling my family.”
Jin sighed again, but he couldn’t hide the small smile tugging at his lips. Maybe, just maybe, being pampered wasn’t so bad after all.
So many updates🥰
