Gimli stood atop the Deeping Wall, his axe swinging in wide arcs, each strike claiming the life of an advancing Uruk-hai. "Seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one!" he counted, the exhilaration of battle igniting his spirit. Below him, a pack of Uruk-hai surged up the causeway toward the Main Gates, their shields clanging against one another, forming an impenetrable wall of iron.
"Causeway!" Aragorn shouted, his voice cutting through the din as he pointed out the approaching threat. The elves, poised and ready, turned their focus to the pack. Arrows flew, and the first few Uruks fell, their bodies hitting the ground with dull thuds.
"Is this it? Is this all you can conjure, Saruman?" Theoden called out defiantly, standing tall against the chaos.
Suddenly, a massive metal spiked ball, carried by two Uruk-hai, was rolled beneath the wall next to the sluice gates. Another pair followed suit, and the tension in the air thickened. As the way was cleared, a Berserker charged forward, a lit torch clutched in his grip.
"Legolas!" Aragorn shouted, urgency lacing his voice. "Bring him down!"
With unwavering precision, Legolas nocked an arrow and let it fly, striking the Berserker in the shoulder. The creature grunted but did not falter. "Kill! Kill him!" Aragorn urged, his brows furrowing with concern.
Legolas fired another arrow, this time into the Berserker's other shoulder, but the beast dove into the sluice just as an explosion rocked the ground. The bombs detonated, sending masonry flying in all directions. Theoden looked on, astonished, as the wall crumbled before them.
Aragorn, knocked off his feet by the blast, fell to the ground, unconscious. Nearby, Gimli was similarly struck by falling debris and slumped over, also rendered unconscious. The people huddled in the caves below gasped at the sudden chaos, their fear palpable.
Liv, her heart racing, rushed through the wreckage in search of David. "Babe, can you fix the wall with your Earth Style?" she called out, desperation in her tone.
"Leave it to me! Can you buy me some time?" David replied, determination setting his jaw as he dashed toward the breach.
"I got you covered!" Liv exclaimed, turning to find Legolas amidst the madness. "Legolas, we need to buy David some time!"
"In this chaos?" Legolas shot back, but the urgency in her eyes made him pause.
"David is a master of Earth Style! He can do this," Liv insisted, glancing back at David as he prepared to weave hand seals.
Saya stepped forward, her resolve hardening. "I'm on it."
As the Uruk-hai poured through the gap in the wall, water began to rush in, cascading over the stones and into the flooded courtyard. The pack of Uruk-hai advancing on the gate was growing by the moment. Theoden, spotting their approach, rallied the soldiers. "Brace the gate!" he commanded.
Soldiers scrambled to the gate, bracing themselves as the Uruks surged forward with a massive ram. Rocks and spears flew from above, raining down upon the invaders, but the Uruks pressed on, relentless.
"Earth Style: Mud Wall!" David shouted, slamming his hands to the ground. A sturdy wall of mud erupted, rising between the Uruks and the gate, providing a momentary reprieve. "Hold them! Stand firm!" Theoden called, his voice resonating with authority.
Aragorn began to stir, shaking his head as he regained consciousness. Gimli, sitting up amidst the chaos, spotted him. "Aragorn!" he shouted, eyes wide as he leapt into action, jumping into the fray of spear-wielding Uruks from atop the wall.
"Gimli!" Aragorn exclaimed, alarmed at his reckless bravery.
Gimli landed in a pool of water, immediately engaging in battle, cleaving through Uruks as they advanced. However, a powerful Uruk sent him sprawling backwards, and he disappeared beneath the water's surface.
Aragorn raised his sword, rallying the elves behind him. "Release arrows!" he commanded, and a hail of arrows descended upon the Uruk-hai, thinning their ranks. "Charge!" he bellowed, leading the charge into the thick of the battle, followed by hundreds of elves and Liv.
From the top of the Deeping Wall, Legolas grabbed an Uruk shield, throwing it ahead of him. Using it as a makeshift sled, he launched himself down the steps, firing arrows with lethal accuracy. As he reached the bottom, he released the shield, which struck an Uruk squarely in the chest.
Emerging from the water, Gimli gasped for air, catching sight of Aragorn. "Gimli!" Aragorn shouted, rushing to his friend and dragging him away as the tide of Uruks surged forward. Across the battlefield, Liv and David exchanged a determined glance.
"Tyranitar, it's time! Our bond of friendship transcends evolution—Mega Evolve!" Liv commanded, her hand reaching for the Keystone on her wrist.
"Metagross, it's our turn now! Mega Evolve!" David shouted, his voice firm and steady.
"Let's show them what we're made of! Tyranitar, Dark Pulse! Now!" Liv called, her heart pounding with adrenaline.
"Metagross, Meteor Mash!" David joined in, his eyes alight with battle fervor.
Legolas glanced over, his brow furrowing with curiosity. "Liv, you and David are using Mega Evolution?" he asked, awe creeping into his voice.
"Of course we are! We wouldn't be Gym Leaders if we didn't!" Liv retorted, a fierce smile gracing her lips as her Tyranitar unleashed a wave of dark energy, while Metagross soared into the air, ready to rain down its psychic power.
Together, they charged into the fray, determined to turn the tide of battle in their favour, their strength and resolve unwavering amidst the chaos surrounding them.
