Baron and Serene continue to walk as Serenes guard continues to follow them down the garden.

Serene spots a flower. A pretty silver one. She crouches down to look at it more clearly

"Princess, you'll get your dress dirty." Baron sighs.

"It's fine. I have wayyy more dresses." Her eyes gleam as she touches the silver kind of rose. She accidentally pricks her finger with it.

"Ow." She pulls back and stands back up

"I knew you'd get yourself hurt" baron scoffs. "Give me your hand."

Serene tilts her head and sticks her hand out. With Barons fae magic, he begins to heal her index finger.

A blue sparkly aura surrounds her hand as her finger becomes fully healed. Her eyes widen. Serene had never seen the power of a fae before.

"Wow...t-thank you." She smiles

There it goes...that stupid smile that makes barons ears pink. He looks away.

"Don't mention it. Seriously, you should be more careful." He rolls his eyes.

"Princess." A voice from behind them calls. Obviously it was the guard, Arthur.

He walks closer so that he is right by them. He obviously glares at Baron.

"I think it's time we head back. You go ahead, princess Serene." He says, not taking his eyes off of Baron.

Looking at them both back and forth worried, Serene nods and picks up her dress, beginning to walk back.

Once she's out of sight Arthur looks at Baron up and down and begins to speak; "...Do not use your magic on the Princess again."

"Why? Scared I take care of her more than you?" Baron says, snarky.

"Don't defy me. She would have been fine if you left her alone" Arthur snaps

"Why are you so protective? I'm not going to hurt her." Baron scoffs.

"Sure you won't. I know how you people act. Attackers in blue skin. Killers of men."

"Excuse me?" Something in Baron snapped. He got in Arthurs face.

"Ah-ah. Don't get any ideas. You want to lose your marriage to Serene?"

Baron freezes just slightly. "Please, I could never love a human anyway." He huffs.

"Sure. Just don't get any ideas with her. You hurt her and I'll kill you."

Arthur gives him another glare before turning to walk away, back to the castle.
Baron stands there as he disappears from his sight. He clenches his fists.

"Dammit." He mumbles to himself.

Back at the Fae castle, Arthur seemed to have left Serene alone for now. Serene was sitting down, tracing and picking at the couch made of cotton and leaves. Baron arrived back to see her, without her guard.

"Princess." He calls.

She turns her head and gets up. She smiles. "Ah! Baron."

Baron looks around. "Your guard left you?"

"He went to talk to mother." She replies.

"Some guard he is. Leaving you alone." Baron sucks his teeth.

Serene stays quiet for a second before asking a quiestion.

"...what happened back there?"

Baron pauses. "Nothing of your concern."

"You can tell me. I know Arthur can be a bit strict-"

"I said it doesn't concern you." Baron raises his voice slightly before pinching the bridge of his nose. "...forgive me, princess. It's just been a long day. Stick to your own duties."

She flinched a little when he raised his voice but relaxed quickly.

"I understand." She remembers her duties, now that Baron mentioned it. "Um...Your father said you are to visit my kingdom next week. Alora. You know, since we have been visiting yours all this time"

"Mm. Is that so?" He sighs

"Yes. Then...me and my family must get going now. I look forward to seeing you next week." She curtseys.

Baron bows in return. "Understood."

She soon leaves.

Baron sighs. What was going on today? That stupid guard...what's his problem? Is he in love with her? That has to be the only answer.

He must be jealous of his engagement with Serene.
