The fiances wait by the door for the guards signal that the kings are done speaking. An awkward silence fills the air. Baron looks somewhere down the hall, folding his arms and leaning his back against the wall while Serene fixes her tight heel. Which was most likely blistering her feet.
'Do humans always care about appearances so much?' Baron wondered. He looks away again. Suddenly his dog Magi runs down the hall barking. Baron sighs and pats his lap. "Cmere girl. Why are you out here?" Baron caresses magi's soft head. Magi barks.
Expecting the princess to be terrified of the large creature, Baron looks up to see Serenes eyes sparkling as she looks at Magi.
"Oh, aren't you just gorgeous? Such a precious doggy!" She squeals and pets Magi all over, playing with her.
Shocked, Baron clears his throat.
"...quit touching her. She doesn't like humans. Don't blame me if she bites."
"Really?" Serene asks as Magi rolls over, basically begging for belly rubs. Serene chuckles and gives it to the blue creature.
Baron slightly grunts and rolls his eyes. "Tsk...Magi. Magi stop that." He scolds her.
"Is that her name? Magi?" Serene asks as Magi gets up and walks back to Baron.
"Yes."
"She's very beautiful." She compliments.
"Mm...She is, isn't she." Baron cracks a small smile but barely noticeable as he scratches behind magi's ears. He seems to love his pet very much.
The guards signal that it's time. He shoos Magi away and they open the door. They enter the huge throne room once again. Serene's mother looks satisfied...though her father looks a little off. Barons' father looks satisfied as well. Serene and Baron bow and get ready to part ways until next time they meet. Which will probably be a few days. The kings seems to want for them to get to know each other more. Baron wasn't too happy about this, but what could he do?

A few days later, the princess arrives again. The king dismisses them to go in the garden. Today, Baron had his dark blue hair out of his ponytail, rushing down his back. It almost seemed to sparkle. He had a similar princely tunic jacket and formal pants. He was very handsome. As always anyway. The princess had a beautiful sparkly silver dress with a large bow in the back. Her hair was in a half up half down style with a matching bow in her blonde locks.
In the garden, they walk together. Though someone is accompanying the princess today. A guard. He is in armor and has dirty blonde hair. A serious look sitting on his face. He walks a few feet behind them.
Baron already knew what this was about.
Baron continues to walk along with Serene as she admires the tulips and white roses around the garden.
"...care to tell me why there is a guard with you today?" Baron breaks the small silence.
"Hm? Oh...you mean Arthur. Um...my family likes to have him around me. To protect me-"
"From people like me." Baron interrupts.
"What? N-no-"
"No, I know. Humans always need to take an extra step when it comes to safety. Mostly around Faes, huh?" Baron says, sounding a bit annoyed.
Serene sighs "i guess you can assume by now my family does not...like Faes. But I don't think that way at all."
"...hm." baron grunts, looking back at her guard. He hasn't been looking at serene. Arthur is looking at Baron more so that he doesn't try anything.
Like he would even try to hurt serene.
Baron tilts his head, looking up at the blue sky.
He wouldn't hurt Serene. Even though he has been holding a grudge against humans all his life.
'It's not like I care about her. Not like that.' Baron thinks to himself.
'But then again I could never love a human. Not even if she is really gorgeous.'
