—CassetteMan_2839's POV—
This path is not safe to take. It was never safe to take. My vision systems were malfunctioning, all I saw was pieces of the dark corridor. This place is Russia's secret underground corridors. The humans, of course, adventured into the hallways...sometimes getting lost. Some made it back, saying that there was nothing but dust and some musty bones. But the rest...they vanish without a trace, nobody knows what happened to them...
But I do now.
Something lives within these tunnels...killing anyone in them. Not for hunger. But for sport. I have to escape. I have to warn them that the disappearances had not halted. They are going to use this path to escort the human to the Russian airport. The monster's maniacal laughter was so close I could feel it. A sharp pain jolted through my back as it struck me. I let out a mechanical wail and hit the cold damp floor. Desperately, I tried to crawl away but it pined me down to the ground.
"НЕТ БОГ ПОЖАЛУЙСТА НЕТ!" I screamed, my world crackled with my blood as the sounds of a buzz saw echoed through the frigid tunnel. I was turned over, a shadow with shining teeth smiled at me, its corners of the mouth stretched up high. "НЕТ!" Was the last thing I said before I blacked out due to it tearing my robotic flesh open, rib by rib..
—Maisie's POV—
I sat on the bed, an orange streaked outdoor backpack lay on my lap. I was in the same room where I locked the CassetteMan in. Turns out he's the General Damir, beloved General of the CassetteMen. I couldn't meet their Chief since they had somewhere else to go. Some kind of meeting for all Alliance Chiefs. That also applied to Chief Dominus, who left the Cameraman to protect me until I came into their base. The General picked some people to join us, the Large Cassette who was Pavel. I think the person who named him made a mistake...he was nowhere near 'small'. Another one is a female CassetteMen, the head of the medical division. She looked like the others except with a woman body and a Russian nurse's outfit. On her left flank was a pistol like thing along with a strand of green liquid bombs swung around her shoulders. Her name is Feodora and she was happy enough to company us. The rest (6 of them) were foot soldiers and volunteered to join in the escort. I watched as General Damir paced the room, six soldiers standing next to my bed all being quirky and touching random stuff. Not really into strict military discipline....Pavel sat out the door, being too big to fit in. Feodora leaned against the left wall, her arms crossed as she lifted her head.
"Ummm why are we still here?" I asked, trying to silence the restless tiny duo Simon & Rizal.
Feodora sighed, "We had not heard anything about the scouts we sent earlier." Until Russians, her voice was wispy and high-pitched.
Woah they sent scouts? I guess they were pretty serious about it. "Uh Madie must be freaking out...wait does she—"
"We have to move now." Damir declared, all soldiers attempting to straighten their wonky postures. "We can't wait anymore. The enemy already knows you're here and we have to move you ASAP."
"Okay people you heard him move." Pavel weakly said, all soldiers started to shuffle me out. I smacked some off their hands off me.
"I can walk fine. I do—HEY!" I shrieked as Pavel picked me up and slumped me on his shoulder. Inside my pockets, tiny squeaks of pain popped out. I placed my hand on the pocket and flinched, looking around. Luckily nobody heard them.
"Давайте двигаться!" Damir shouted as he bolted down the hall, the rest of us followed him.
