Agent was returning to their home, holding a banquet of vibrant flowers to celebrate 20th Year Anniversary. His shoes softly thumped on the cool pavement, it was autumn once again. He fastened the green scarf that Charlotte gave him for another anniversary present. Some Cameramen were strolling around with their human masters, all giving him glances. In order to not get unwanted attention (Which he disliked), Agent wore a flimsy hologram of a normal New Yorker. The metal bracelet was slightly warm on his left wrist, it is still in prototype stage. He yet to add a cooler to it. There. Their lime green house was like any normal house, the stoop and all. It was just a few blocks away from Charlotte's parents, who loved her like there's no tomorrow. The first time they met, Agent was nervous. His parents-in-law just started to examine him closely. Her father mildly liked him while her mother...well, she threatened him.
He trotted up the stairs and rapped the red wooden door, one slow, three fast & five slow. The door creaked opened, Lucky stood in the doorway. Hanging his coat, he saw Charlotte sitting on their leather sofa in the living room. Agent smiled and silently slid towards her. She looked back, her eyes wide in joy...more joyful.
"What?" He asked as he plopped down next to her. She seemed...
"We're gonna have a child." She declared.
For the next five seconds, he processed on what she said. A child? A child! Agent sat up and stared at her with astonishment.
"Excuse me? Is this a prank Charlotte?" Agent gawked at her belly, it was more bloated than usual. Oh. That's why.
Charlotte laughed and gave him a gentle kiss on his cheek, "No dear. It's real."
"Jesus. I gotta get Professor Ottoman away from you." He remembered in horror that the Professor wanted to open up a pregnant woman and just see an unborn child. If he did that he's gonna unleash his new experiments...no bad idea.
She raised up her eyebrow, "Why? I am not scared of that crippling sandpaper of a grandpa."
He barked a laugh. "Did I say that?"
"I made it up from your complains on your bad days."
"Hmph."
"So...I feel like it's a girl..."
Wrapping his arm around her, he said,"But we should get a boy & a girl name."
"If its a boy we are gonna call it—" She started
"Agent Jr." Agent grinned as Charlotte punched him in his shoulder, "Just kidding that's a horrible name."
"If it's a boy then his name is Jorge. Okay?" She said with sternness.
"Ah. But if it's a girl...?" His eyebrow lifted up.
Charlotte looked at their unborn child, still inside her. "We are gonna call her Maisie."
—Maisie's POV—
"MAISIE GET OUT NO—" Plunger launched himself towards me but the door slapped shut. My parrot cried out as she scrambled to my left shoulder.
"Hello Maisie. I have been waiting for you." A voice calmly said behind me. It sounded like a 40 year old male...but it is not my grandfather. The voice seemed to seep into my very bones, chilling it to the core. It didn't help that Charla was cawing "¡Intruso!" Now I know. She wasn't meaning my friends...
Frightened I turned slowly behind me. My back was soon pressing against the wooden door, its handle was rattling. I saw two pale blue eyes, with white X for their pupils, glinted against the darkness.
