—Catherine's POV—

With tears in my eyes, I closed the door on Madie. The rumbling continued before it died down. Whatever it was...it was gone. Arnold was screaming, blindly swatting anything that moves (Which would be the teenagers).  I shoved his copper wire glasses into his face and scanned the room for Samuel. Micheal stood over a fallen boy with sandy hair. Samuel. Blood trickled out of his nose, must've gotten an elbow or a knee to the face. I rushed over to him and slid on my knees. Quickly I placed two fingers on his neck, feeling a steady pulse. I sighed in relief. One more loss and I will seriously lose my sanity. The briefcase was tighten clasped in his arms on his muddy blue shirt. I looked at the remaining survivors,

"Carry him. I am temporarily this party's leader for now." I pointed at Samuel.

"Who gave you permission huh?" Somebody shot at me

"Well I vote for Micheal. He's smart and got brains." Someone else claimed

Micheal nervously fiddled with his fingers, looking sheepishly at the rest. "Uhhh maybe we should have a vo—"

"I vote for Micheal as well." Somebody declared.

"Me too!"

"Same here!"

One by one, everyone voted for Micheal than me. Deep inside I was irritated and heartbroken, but I didn't voice it out. Besides, I am more of the charge first, think later while Micheal...well... he's the exact opposite of me.

I weakly slapped on his back, "Well what now leader?

Micheal stared at me, giving me that confused look, then he turned towards the survivors, "Well. We find the nearest emergency shelters and stock up on resources I guess."

The entire room erupted into hoots and cheers, four boys stepped forward and grabbed Samuel by all four limbs. Together they heaved him up and followed Micheal. As soon as everyone was out, heading for the backyard I heard a creak. I whipped my head behind to see a Cameraman.

"What the? A Cameraman?" I asked myself, those bots turned onto us. Some theories is that they got confused between an ally (Us) and the enemy (Those toilets thing) while others said they were plotting it for years. This Cameraman wasn't black, it was kind of a pale brown...but not brown. It was... kind of greenish? Apple green? The Cameraman tilted its head and walked to the left, right at a wall. Bud is it stupid?

"You know that's a wall righ—?" I said.

The Cameraman went right through the wall. I rapidly blinked my eyes and then rubbed them hard. When I opened them, it was gone. HUH?! I dashed over and started smacking my hands on the wall. It was solid. Pure solid. What? Then is the Cameraman even real? I scratched my head and walked backwards. Feeling creeped out,  I spun around and ran after the others.

Not noticing that the Cameraman was watching me.

—Samuel's POV—

Ugh my head. I touched my numb nose and felt a dried crust of blood. Someone must've broken my nose, Maisie is never gonna stop teasing me. Well. The painful ache of Maisie's loss was dimmed to a thrum. My vision started to piece together. I was in a hospital room. The windows were barricaded with planks, allow little light to file in. I kicked off the thick blanket and sat up. My briefcase. I spun to my left in panic, but then relief flooded into me. Tears & Fears were in the leather briefcase, sitting on the nightstand next to me. A knock on the door alerted me, I yanked the case and called "Come in."
