Shinobu's PoV💜🦋:
"Okay... so. Let me get this straight." I said to Tomioka. We were in her house, sitting in the guest room after we cleaned up the fur-spike animal.
"You see a wild animal, possibly with multiple diseases, and your first thought is to... pick it up and keep it?" I sighed. "What was the thought process in this?"
Tomioka looked at me flatly, gently cupping the hedgehog in her hands. "It wasn't my first thought." she said bluntly.
"It wasn't a thought at all."
"Don't be rude."
"I say it like it is."
"No."
I sighed. "Seriously, Tomioka, was your brain on vacation or something? And why would you even text me for this? I study pharmacology, not animals."
"Yes, but I've been told by many people you're like a doctor."
"Animals and humans are very different, Tomioka." I said, exasperated. "Oh, never mind- just- ugh."
"Giyuu! Giyuu, why you little- Giyuu!" someone called from the kitchen.
A girl that looked similar to Tomioka walked in. I believed it was her elder sister, perhaps. Yes. What was her name again?
Tomioka looked at her. "Hello, Tsutako.
The elder sister groaned. "Giyuu, I swear- huh? Oh my gosh, did you drag this poor soul into it too?" she pointed at me.
"Yeah," Tomioka responded. "Why?"
Well, that was blunt. I thought.
The elder Tomioka looked at me. "Listen, you. I'm so sorry about the inconveniences my little sister might have caused you. Giyuu, you're lucky I like small and cute animals, or else I would have thrown you into the sun a long time ago! Now, please apologize for wasting his time."
The smaller Tomioka just looked up at me. "Sorry." "Not really." There were unspoken words she left hanging in the air, knowing that I sensed them.
Her sister sighed. "What am I going to do with you... ah." She shook her head. "Whatever. Hey, butterfly-boy. If you want to leave, leave. You're not stuck here."
I shrugged. "Hm. Eh, I guess I could stay. I'm already here." I looked at the younger Tomioka. "Also, I want to see more of this dynamic. I'm loving the fact that she can't be so smug at home when you're with her." My usual smile grew as I patted her on the head.
"That's a stupid reason." Tomioka said.
You're a stupid reason. The childish side of my brain thought as I stuck my tongue at her.
Her sister shrugged. "Alright. If you insist." She looked at the younger Tomioka. "Come on, Giyuu. Let's go"

It was pretty chaotic for something that shouldn't have been that hard. On the plus side, I finally figured out how to organize the two of them.
"Uhh, what do hedgehogs eat again?" Tomioka #1 (The older sister) asked.
"I think they usually eat things like grubworms and sometimes fruit, but I wouldn't have complete faith in my knowledge of hedgehogs, so you might want to look it up." Tomioka #2 (Tomioka herself) replied.
While they were scurrying around, I walked over to the nasty little spike monster itself.
"Hello there, you," I said with forced politeness. "You better be grateful that we're here spending all this time and energy on you, you painful, pint-sized little beachball of fur."
