(ISADORA'S POV)
The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple as we rode into the depths of the Dark Forest. I sat atop my horse.Beside me, was Julian, who only allowed me to stay as long as I was in a proximity near him of at least a centimetre. I watch as he scans the darkened forest ahead.
"There are whispers among the villagers back in Clovendale about a tribe hidden deep within these woods. They say that the Tribe of Lux possesses ancient knowledge and magic." Julian murmurs.
"Really? I had heard tales, but I didn't think they were true," I replied,"Do you think they can help us?" I followed up.
"This might be our last chance to find out what they know. They've been here for centuries, keeping their secrets safe."
I felt the warmth of his presence beside me, his tone drawing me closer
As we ventured deeper into the forest, the trees grew thicker, and shadows lengthened ominously around us. I felt a sudden rush of vulnerability, but Julian leaned in closer, ensuring our horses moved in sync. "Just hold on tight, Isadora. I won't let anything happen to you."
His words wrapped around me like a warm cloak. I was grateful for him. But even as I savored the moment, I could sense Gabriel's gaze lingering on us from the back.
Before I could dwell on that thought, a flurry of arrows sliced through the air, sending my heart into a panic. "Julian!" I screamed, just as he shoved me forward, trying to shield me. I felt the sharp pain as one arrow grazed his arm, and in that moment, chaos erupted around us.
"Ride! Get out of here!" he yelled, but his horse spooked, galloping wildly. While he tried to push mine to bring me anywhere but at that moment. The world around me blurred into a frenzy of motion and sound. "No Julian,no!" I shout. "LEAVE ISADORA!" He exclaims. My horse drags me away from there. "BOOM!" all I see is darkness...
