(ISADORA's S POV)
As we navigated the winding paths of the forest, I felt a strange connection to Kira. The vibrant greenery around us pulsed with life, and the air was thick with the scent of earth and water. My thoughts drifted back to Julian and Gabriel. The worry gnawed at me—were they safe?
"Do you know anything about the Tribe of Lux?" I asked as we walked. "My kingdom needs their help."
"They are a proud people," Kira replied. "Many fear outsiders, but they respect those who show courage."
Courage. A word that resonated deeply within me. I had to be brave for Julian, for Gabriel, and for myself.
Finally, we emerged from the dense trees into a clearing, where my friends were gathered. Relief flooded over me as I spotted them—Julian stood tall, though clearly in pain, while Gabriel's face softened with relief when our eyes met.
"Isadora!" Gabriel exclaimed, rushing to my side. His concern was palpable, and I felt warmth spread through me at his presence. "You're safe! I was so worried."
"I'm fine, thanks to Kira," I said, gesturing to the tribesperson beside me. "But what happened early?."
"An ambush," Julian explained, his voice strained but resolute. "I'm glad you're safe... We need to discuss our next steps."
"Can you take us to the Tribe of Lux?" I asked Kira, feeling the urgency of our situation. "We need their help."
Kira nodded, their eyes shining with determination. "I can lead you, but you must earn their trust. They value loyalty and strength."
