Namjoon's P.O.V.
I wouldn't get my drink. What I did have was my girlfriend, in her gray sweatpants and hoodie, pressing a cold wet cloth against my forehead.
"How often do you drive yourself to that point?"

"Not often.." Min sat close enough for me to see her face without my glasses.. Her brows contorting in worry, her lips compressing, biting her cheek. It's just a fever. It's okay.
"..I promise."

Don't sigh like that, Kitten.
"Since we've known eachother. How many times?"
February 2026. Then, before she came back last winter.. Then in the beginning of August..
"Moonie?"

Was I taking that long to think?
"..4th time now? I think.."

Her frown deepened. "That's, at least, one at every comeback. It's not good-"
Her hand on my cheek felt softer than silk..
"Namjoon. Focus on me."

"I'm fine." I laid mine over hers.
".. Don't worry."

"Your heavy breathing says otherwise. Your temperature not going down says otherwise. You had trouble going from the couch to MY bed. Yours was too far for you. Don't tell me what to do. I can worry if I want to."
Was her hair covering her face? It got blurry. My eyelids were so heavy.
"You took an impromptu nap earlier, for 3 hours. Shaking you awake didn't work. It's so sudden."
Her voice sounded shaky and far away.
"Keep looking at me."
Easy, the little details of her portrait entertained me for many minutes when I got to observe them..

Mina's P.O.V.
"I've never taken care of someone when they were sick. How do you trust me to do a good job?!"
His eyes closed before I could even utter a word.
"I have theoretical knowledge, not practical! I don't know what to do."

I had to call someone. I need help. My choice seemed peculiar, but I needed him.
"Mimi dongsaeng? You're not the calling type."
I took a deep breath, and I didn't have to speak.
"I'm at Kookie's. I'll be at hyung's in 10 minutes, is it okay? Is that what you want?"

Would Yoongi be a better choice for Joon? Clearly, but..
"Please, Taehyung oppa. Joonie's sick, and I don't know what to do."

"I'll be on my way." Tae and I might joke a lot, but I shared details about my relationship with him a lot, as he did with me. He was a great listener and very reassuring to me. They had a similar age gap, Irene and him. We ran into similar issues and could understand our different points of view. I could rely on him for this too. I knew. He was my shoulder to lean on when Joon couldn't.
"Mimi."

"Yes?"

"Hyung will be alright. You know that, right?"

Will he? Fevers can do heavy damages. Probability was low of anything major happening, but still.
"I guess.."

I picked right. "Stick to that. I'm two lights away."
When he arrived, he took his outerwear in a hurry.
"Sorry, one of the elevators is broken. I had to wait a while-"
I had no words. I hugged him.. so tight.
"Min.. You're a ball of nerves."

His hand patting my hair managed to calm me enough to muster up something.
"..He's worked himself into a fever and when he closes his eyes.. I can't wake him up. I've never lived that.. I called his mother and she'll drop by tomorrow morning, but I don't know what to do, Tae.."

He didn't let go. "It's okay not to know, dongsaeng.. I'm glad you called me."

"Me too.. Can I show you?"
He nodded, and I led him to my room where my boyfriend was.
"I've been changing the cold cloth every 30 minutes. I gave him medicine about 20 minutes ago.. I took away the comforter because he felt too warm.."
I sat down where I had been all afternoon, Joon's hand in mine.
"What am I doing wrong? It's not going down. It stays between 39.5°C and 40.5°C."
