Namjoon's P.O.V.
Did you ever see Suga bake? He used to cook for us a lot when we shared a dorm, but this was very entertaining.
"Why do I have to cut that block off.. what is it, fake butter? Why do I have to cut it in cubes if it goes in your mixer anyway?""Because it makes sure we don't over mix when we cream it with the sugar. I'll make a batch with actual butter if you'd like, but I'm gonna put food coloring in it to differentiate them."
The confused frown on his face. "When did cream get in there?"
"There's no cream. It's what you call it when you mix butter and sugar together!"
Her sigh of despair.
"If you can't follow instructions, I can do it myself, you know?"Hyung turned to me. "Why doesn't your knight in shining armor help us, huh?"
"Do you really trust me with a knife? More than yourself?"
"Know what?" He grabbed the knife.
"Let's save yourself another trip to the hospital."
Then he looked at my partner.
"And I don't want you holding a knife near me, unless it's to defend ourselves from zombies or something."
He did as he was asked.
"Is that small enough?"She nodded. "Yeah, it's great! You can put it in."
Then, she nudged her head at me.
"Mind measuring the ingredients? The faster we get them in the oven, the faster you get to eat some."Well, I guess landing a hand wouldn't hurt, then.
.
.
.
"Can we order from the place near my place?" Tae, it's 30 minutes away."No! Fried chicken is better!"
"We had some two days ago, Jimin hyung!"
Stop yelling over eachother! "Can we call pizza? Change things up?"
"Change? That's what we had for lunch! Come on, Kookie."
Meg got into this? Really?I just stood there, watching the chaos unfold. "At this point we'll eat cardboard.."
That gentle hand I knew so well caressed my waist and back.
"We can get a bit from everywhere. What do you think?""All I want is for their babbling to stop. I can't get a word in and I'm getting a headache."
Honestly, they were STILL arguing.
"But it's a good idea."Min chuckled. "I have a trick that works with Enhypen. I guess it's time to see if it works on them."
A pat on the shoulder and a peck on the cheek.
"I got this."
She walked over to them and stood there as they sat on the couch. She crossed her arms and looked at them. Was she glaring at them? Probably. I didn't quite get it at first, but Meg glanced at her. Her friend's gaze went back to her and she nudged her boyfriend. He reacted the exact same way. That was enough for the rest to shut up. That's impressive.. Could I qualify it as attractive? I should. I would.
The silence was great.
"Are you done?"
Yup. That's hot.
"We can get a thing from each place to share or you don't get a say and have no idea what we're eating."
They were about to speak, but she raised a finger.
"It's one or the other.""First choice. Right guys?"
They nodded at my hyung's comment. My amazingly smart lady smiled.
"Good. You can manage ordering?""On it noona dongsaeng!" Jiminie, she played you guys like a violin.
"Thank you~" Min walked back to me, nudging my shoulder.
"Took a little longer than expected, but it worked."
Her eyes met mine.
"What? Worked with kids at summer camp. False choice. Both options are good for us, but they feel like they made the decision.""Gotta remember that for another time." Wait a minute.
"Have you done that to me?"She couldn't hold her chuckle.
"Both options are usually good for your sanity when I give you a choice like that."Want to take a nap or take medicine for your headache? "Know what? I'm not even mad at it."
We shared a kiss. "Told you. It's an amazing trick."
It'd be useful for those kids in their late twenties and up, clearly.
"Ready to watch the premiere episode while we wait for the food to arrive?"Her little jumps and grin told me she was excited to watch it.
"I can't wait!"Mina's P.O.V.
Nervous wouldn't come close to how I felt. I put so many hours into this with my friend.
Each duo had a colour assigned.
Ten teams, ten colours.
"Boo, I asked if you wanted a piece of pizza.""Sorry." I shook my head.
"No thanks. I'm not hungry."My eyes were glued to the screen. I hadn't seen the panel's reaction, that included people I had worked with, yet. I hadn't heard how it turned out. Hearing myself and recorded was slightly different. Iwas too stressed to remember.
I did my best not to react too much when the green duo showed up.
0X1=LOVESONG was the song of choice, slowed down, more like a ballad.
We had been having fun guessing the other groups. The rules the host gave the panel were simple. The teams are made of people who know eachother. Know wasn't defined, but they were all friends or leads in a drama together or in the same group or worked together often. Not that my friends knew. It was the first episode after all. Also, the songs had to be from people of the same generation or have someone the same age as them.
"I've heard that guy before."
No shit, Yoongi. At the award shows.
"He's not from Hybe, is he?"Tae denied. "Sounds like Lee Know to me."
"Does he?" Kookie frowned.
"It's a bit off."We all sighed, Jimin complained.
"You have perfect pitch, so we're obviously wrong!"Not how perfect pitch works, but sure. "But if it's him, who's the other one? It's a woman, right? His girlfriend is not a public figure. If it were Changbin, it'd be easy to say it's his friend from ITZY. But she doesn't sound like her at all."
My boyfriend took a look at me. "Any guesses?"
I can't lie! Shut iiiiit. "He's definitely a singer. She isn't."
Meg frowned. "What makes you say that?"
Save me. "You seem to agree with me, Handsome. Tell her."
His smile grew. "Shows that much?"
He was so happy to explain.
"The main thing is how little solo parts she has. Only Seori's part and I think a falsetto, but I'm not sure. The rest is with him or him alone. He's solo half of the song."
Wait until episode 3, won't be so solo anymore.. and you'd be right about the falsettos. New Rules was great for them.Remember the song choice rules? It's quite bothersome for the panel when the duos didn't sing songs from only 4th generation or only 3rd generation. Three teams gave them trouble with that in the long run, including this one.
"Fair, then who is she? We don't even agree on the first person's identity."
The eldest in the room did have a point. It made it quite difficult, and fun.I shrugged. "We do like every other so far. We write it down and see if we were right in the end."
.

Meg whispered to me as I took the cookies out of the oven, after the dough had rested about two hours in the fridge before baking.
"Which colour are you?"
Ignore him.
"I won't tell, I swear. You refused your favorite pizza. Can't fool me."I'd mess with her a bit. "You can't tell? And I thought you were my best friend in the whole world."
"Don't say it like that! Come on, tell me."
"Nah. You do the guess work. Do NOT say I'm in it. They'll know right away." When you know who's under the masks, it seems obvious, but without them in mind.. it's hard to guess.
Namjoon's P.O.V.
The cookie was still warm when she handed it to me. "It looks so good.."Tae, as always, glanced at what I was eating, then at me.
"Can I get a bite?"Why don't you get your own? Ugh.. Fine. "Go ahead."
It's not like I won't have any left-
You said a bite. Are you a T-Rex? There's not even an eighth of it left!
"Kim Taehyung, come back here!"
