Heeseung stormed behind the counter, clenching his fists in frustration. Today had been a disaster. Orders got fucked up, a machine broke down, and one of his coworkers called in sick, leaving him to handle everything almost on his own. He was fucking fuming. It felt like the universe was conspiring against him—two terrible days in one month. Could it get any worse?

It was late too. Heeseung had been on his feet for hours, and he just wanted the night to end. As he slipped behind the counter, trying to calm himself and hide from the chaos, he felt a soft grip on his wrist. His first instinct was to pull away, ready to snap at whoever dared to disturb him, but when he looked up, his anger instantly melted.

It was Jake.

He was standing there, looking like the complete opposite of Heeseung's current mood—calm, adorable, and comforting. His oversized black sweatshirt and dark denim cargos somehow made him look even more irresistible than usual. Heeseung's breath hitched as Jake smiled warmly, a stark contrast to the storm of emotions swirling inside him. Heeseung's thoughts turned dangerous in an instant.

He looks so...fuckable.

Before Jake could say a word, Heeseung acted purely on impulse. He pulled Jake closer, his grip firm on Jake's waist with one hand, while their fingers intertwined with his free hand. Without any hesitation, Heeseung kissed him—rough, desperate, and filled with all the frustration he'd bottled up throughout the night. Jake responded immediately, his free hand sliding up to Heeseung's neck, fingers curling as he pulled him even closer, craving more.

Heeseung kissed him harder, pouring every bit of his anger into the moment. It was as if the kiss was his way of venting, letting out all the pent-up rage and exhaustion. When he finally pulled back, his lips lingering over Jake's, he took a shaky breath.

Jake, slightly breathless and with his cheeks flushed, simply smirked. "Rough day?"

Heeseung let out a frustrated groan. "It was ten times worse than usual. Everything's falling apart, and considering this is the fucking second time this month, I swear, it's just shit."

Jake nodded knowingly, not needing any more explanation. He rested his head on Heeseung's right shoulder, his face turned to the side, his warm breath tickling Heeseung's neck.

For a moment, they stood like that, with the noise of the restaurant fading into the background. Jake's presence alone seemed to ease the tension in Heeseung's body, and despite everything, he found himself relaxing just a little.

"What brings you here, Jaeyun?" Heeseung asked, rubbing his nose on Jake's hair. "It's late."

"I wanted to see you." Jake tiredly responded.

"Are you sure that's all?" Heeseung teased, unknowingly about what was about to happen.

"Actually, you're right." Jake suddenly raised his head. The action was so sudden, Heeseung was about to let go of Jake. But we all know that wouldn't happen. "I have something for you," Jake grinned cheekily.

Heeseung then looked down at Jake and noticed a chain of gold on his neck. That's new. Jake doesn't normally wear necklaces. Heeseung then lifted it with his index, and it was a pendant, with an 'H' on it. Oh wow. Heeseung bit his lip to stifle a smile. Was it meant to symbolize him?

"Who does this represent?" Heeseung teasingly asked, still fidgeting with it.

"I'm looking at them right now." Jake replied, grinning.

So it was for him. Good god, Jake, how much more lovable can you get?

Heeseung couldn't stop the grin spreading across his face. His heart skipped a beat, the warmth spreading from his chest all the way to his fingertips. He was a mess earlier, but somehow, Jake had a way of turning the worst days into something better with just a few words, a smile, and now, this necklace.
