Czan was having a great day. He had taken out 3 opponents just this morning. Over the weeks, Skull Kid had nearly forgotten about Tatl and Tael. But they still appeared in his dreams, haunted his nightmares. He had started watching Garo fights regularly to help with his depression. He found out about the gambling services, and started putting a lot on the line in hopes that Czan would once again triumph. He had made quite a bit of rupees off of Czan's victories. Skull Kid sometimes fantasized about strolling into Clock Town and buying out all of the stores. But of course, that day would never come. Skull Kid wasn't allowed in Clock Town.

1 day, at the gambling table, a Goron behind Skull Kid asked why he was putting 50 rupees on Czan. When Skull Kid responded, the Goron snorted and started talking up Czan's rival. He was apparently the strongest Garo that ever lived. Skull Kid didn't believe that, because he knew Czan was the strongest. To show the Goron up, Skull Kid added in another 25 rupees to the pot. Skull Kid turned around and purposely bumped into him. Skull Kid didn't know what his problem was. Skull Kid concluded that the Goron was just stupid. Anyone who would rival Czan, Garo Master was stupid. Skull Kid knew it, and everyone else knew it. But still, some chose to fight. Skull Kid had no idea why. They always lost.

The crowd was roaring. Czan was dominating his opponent. He strung together swift attacks in such a melodious way that his rival could do nothing but block. When the other Garo finally stood, Czan took aim and struck the opposing Garo straight in the forehead. The other Garo braced himself for impact, as if he already knew the attack was coming. Then, it was all clear to Skulk Kid. All the time that he was blocking, he was analyzing Czan's fighting style. And, as he probably predicted, Czan left his stomach wide open. A quick jab was all that the other Garo needed to send Czan reeling.

Czan tumbled over to the other wall of the coliseum. Czan tried to push himself back up, but couldn't. The other Garo watched as blood started to drip from Czan's eyes and mouth. The Goron gave a smug smile. Czan slowly inched his arm to his cloak. Skull Kid thought that he was going to throw a bomb at the other Garo. But instead, Czan laid the bomb at his feet. Tears started to build in Skulk Kid's eyes. They kept on growing, like Ganondorf transforming into Ganon. Skull Kid wiped the tears away just in time to see Czan smile at him through the smoke. Skull kid screamed out and tore away, punching the jerky Goron on the way out.
