"I'm a little flustered." Evelien and Jackie joined hands and expressed fear.
"It's nothing. Just let's look for the feeling, there is no big deal. There are so many people around; everyone will still act together at that time," Koch said comfortingly.
"The words are said like this, but Koch, your hand is sweating, and aren't you holding my hand?" Christy looked at her right hand grabbed by Koch silently, a little speechless.
"Isn't it afraid that you are afraid?" Withdrawing his hand, Koch laughs.
John, who had checked the nursing home, had already come out and carried a bag in his hand.
"Come, get one each," John said with a smile.
"Camera!?" Looked at the camera in his hand, everyone's heart rose slightly.
"Time is limited, everyone can simply enter the lobby and the courtyard to stroll around, there are ten minutes. In addition, I have hidden 5 A4 sheets in it, so it is not difficult to find. Every time I find one of you 5 people this month, the salary will be increased by one-fifth, and if you find five, you will double it." John said with a smile.
Huh, you can get money? Hearing John's words, everyone's eyes lit up, and the emotions that had been fearful also dispersed a lot. But soon after they got the camera and entered the nursing home, they found out that they thought too much.
The surroundings were silent, only the wind and the rustling of the leaves could be heard in their ears, as well as the sound of some old doors and windows being blown by the wind.
"I suddenly panicked." Koch swallowed and said, a little scared.
"This night vision camera's feedback is so infiltrating." Evelien's voice was also quavering.
The camera is very small and can only shoot a very small area. It is the kind of black-and-white screen, which looks like a scene in a ghost film. If it weren't for the four living people around him, Evelien now felt that she was afraid to call out. In such a fearful situation, they even forget that they have a mobile phone on them, and the mobile phone has a flashlight function.
It is not terrible to be able to understand what you see, but what is scary is unknown. Evelien at this moment fully understood the meaning of this sentence. A dark hall and a courtyard outside, it would be nice if there were moons and stars, but the problem is that today is cloudy.
The sound of the toad continues constantly, in conjunction with the sound of the wind blowing the leaves, it's killing me.
Outside the nursing home, Luna and John were sitting in the security room drinking.
"Is this a good idea? I feel they are scared." Luna reached out and poked John's arm.
"Just let them stay for ten minutes, get 5 sheets of paper inside, and tell them that they have found the extra salary for the next month, which also makes them less distracted to divert their attention," John explained.
He just wanted to let them understand the style and atmosphere of the game of Outlast but didn't want them to be scared, so he took a lot of measures.
At the same time, the night vision camera is also based on the settings in Outlast so that they can feel more intuitively how to play the game and how to design it to make the player more afraid. Without personal experience, it is difficult to create real things.
For example, Outlast in the memory, in some places John felt they could do better. Nothing like jumpscare, after all, it's not a dreadful scene like a haunted house. The main thing is to let them experience the main atmosphere.
John looked at the monitor and saw that they began to adapt to the environment, and the people began to look for pieces of paper, and they thought of something and smiled.
Hearing John's words, Luna next to him widened her eyes and looked at him.

Leading everyone in PixelPioneers Studio to experience the second week.
In the office, John is talking to Evelien about some specific content about Outlast such as the setting of the most important place in Outlast, the night vision of the camera.
Most scenes are extremely dark, and in this darkness, only the night vision device using a camera can see the way forward in the darkness, bundling the player's most needed capabilities with the most uncomfortable picture, and the camera's battery is limited, which makes players have to choose. You can never know what will happen next, worrying about the situation after the battery runs out, causes players to be anxious and slowly afraid.
At the same time, the rhythm of the game also requires a very suitable arrangement.
Evelien, who had other practical experience, designed several original artworks. John was quite satisfied after seeing it, it is the same thing. It is impossible, but it feels that way. By using the stuff in the official engine, the atmosphere matching with scene in his dream memory is also quite passable. The rest is to find outsourcing companies for motion capture and there are other outsourcing companies.
The core project John and Koch are responsible for is the map. Generally, the map that does not affect the gameplay and the core design is all handed over to outsourcing. It doesn't matter what he cares about, it only needs to check the quality and then accept the results.
In the following days, John devoted himself to the development of Outlast. Some details of the plot were modified, and there was talk about motion capture and outsourcing companies.

The time goes into October. Considering the development of Outlast, they will be on holiday for five days. On the sixth day, everyone returned to work in advance.
At the same time, the later stage of the game is already in progress. If it goes smoothly, it will be about half a month before the game can be sent for review and ready to go online.
The pre-hype in advance should almost start. I opened John's official blog account for release, and at the same time, she took a look at the official blog of PixelPioneers Studio. When it first started, the news didn't make much waves, as it has been a while since the Golden Owl Game Awards.
The previous heat has gone down. This is what the Internet popularity looks like, people who have been on the rise this week may be well known, but it may be cool in the second week.
But soon, along with Martel, Baker, and Malcolm, who met John at the Golden Owl Game Awards, they also kindly forwarded the news about PixelPioneers Studio and John's new games.
