Slap

A slap landed on Saransh's face, jolting him back to reality. The sting of his grandfather's hand lingered, but he didn't dare to look up. Instead, he hung his head low, tears cascading down his cheeks like a waterfall of anguish. It was a familiar feeling, one he had brushed aside too many times. But this time, it felt different. This time, he was ready to fight back.

"Tumhare himmat kaise hui jo tune Tia ki papa ko maar dala?" Dadu roared, his voice a tempest of rage and disbelief. But suddenly, Saransh's eyes flashed with fury, a storm brewing in the depths of his soul.

(How dare you kill Tia's father?)

He glared at his grandfather, the old man who had always been a pillar of strength but now felt like a weight dragging him down.

"Did you just slap me for that old hag, Dadu? Seriously?" Saransh spat, his anger surging through his veins like a raging river. How dare his grandfather chastise him for defending Tia?

"Don't twist my question! Just answer me, damn it!" Dadu roared, his face a mask of indignation.

"I'm not-" Saransh retorted, fists clenched, his knuckles turning white.

"If you want an answer, then listen to me, Dadu," he growled, gritting his teeth, the words spilling out like venom.

"Jaise apke himmat huii jo apne apke damadh ko mara, Dadu," he retorted, his voice rising with each word. The room was thick with tension, and Dadu's glare could have burned through steel, but Saransh didn't care. He was done being the quiet grandson who accepted everything without question.

(Like you had the courage to kill your son-in-law, Dadu.)

"Wh... What?" Dadu stammered, clearly taken aback by Saransh's boldness.

"Haa, waise apke himmat hui jo apne damadh ko mara, waise meine mere apne sassur ko mara," Saransh roared, the truth spilling out like a dam breaking. Dadu shuddered, his expression shifting from anger to disbelief.

(Yes, just as you had the courage to kill your son-in-law, I killed my own father-in-law.")

"Toh, tum mare doge sabko?" Dadu questioned, a hint of fear creeping into his voice.

(So, you will kill everyone?)

"Haa, I'll kill everyone," Saransh snapped, his eyes blazing with determination.

"I'll destroy everyone who tries to harm her. I'll kill myself before I let anything happen to her!" The words erupted from him like a volcano, raw and unfiltered.

"Apne dekha nahi, Dadu? Daksh Sinha ka haal waise hi hoga sabka jo mere sona ko chot pouchane ki koshish kiya toh," Saransh said menacingly. He could see the fear in Dadu's eyes, and it fueled his fury even more.

"What are you saying, Saransh?" His mother asked, her voice trembling. She was caught in the crossfire of their emotional battle, her heart racing with concern.
