If you feel the need to curse, go ahead and let it out in English. I may understand Hindi, but I prefer to receive messages in English. So, feel free to unleash your curses and express yourself boldly. Let the words flow without hesitation. Just remember to keep it short and to the point. Let your emotions run wild, but keep it in English for me to understand. Let the curses fly!💋🫂
My entire body shook to the core. Fear crawled through my veins, a sensation foreign to me in my thirty-two years of life. I had never feared anything-there had always been no reason to. But now? Now, I was drowning in it.
Her. My sona.
She was my fear. The fear of losing her was a final game I never wanted to play. The thought of her being kidnapped made my blood run cold, and tears began to shred my composure. In my entire life, I had protected my family from behind the scenes, a silent guardian. No one knew me, except for Dadu, my grandfather. But now, I felt like a failure.
I had failed as a husband. I had failed as a protector. The vows I took when we got married felt like empty promises now. I didn't know what she was going through at that moment, and I didn't want to think about it. Just imagining her in pain and agony made my heart ache. I thought she would be safe with me, but destiny had other plans. She was enduring suffering because of my sins.
I snapped back to reality, glancing at the rearview mirror just as police cars chased me down the street. "Fucking assholes!" I yelled, my voice echoing in the confines of my car. I pressed the accelerator, the engine roaring in response. My hands tightened around the steering wheel, knuckles turning white. Fury boiled inside me, a raging inferno demanding revenge. Whoever was involved in my sona's kidnapping would rot in my basement. They would plead for their lives, and I would make sure they understood the consequences of their actions. I'd feed them to my hyena, a ravenous beast that would relish a full-course meal for days.
We had been searching for her for six hours, and yet there was not a single trace. Her phone was found near Erica's tattoo shop, and her ring lay abandoned in our villa. Where was she? Where had they taken her? Alex was searching the other side of the city with his team, while I scoured the streets with mine, but we were hitting dead ends everywhere.
Suddenly, my phone buzzed with a message from an unknown number. My heart raced as I glanced at the screen. I tapped the message, and a photo played. My breath caught in my throat. My whole body started to shiver. Tia, my sona, was chained like an animal. Her face was pale, tears streaked down her cheeks, and her lips were bruised. I slammed on the brakes, unable to breathe, and stumbled out of the car. My knees wobbled, and I collapsed in the middle of the road, numb.
I had failed. I had failed her. She was too fragile, too innocent-a lotus blooming in dirt.
Just as I was pulling myself together, another message popped up from the same number. It contained a location. I sent a quick message to Alex, hopped back in the car, and sped towards the address.
