My break is almost overrrrr 😭

So I'll be trying to publish more on the weekend to prepare for the classes upcoming.

Mincy POV:

"Bye Mincy." My friend called.

"Bye Alex!" I replied hanging up.

"OOooooooOOO~ Was that you're boooyyfrieeend~?" Damian taunted. (Little brothers amirite?)

"No, he's just a friend I made at school. You're just jealous that he's better looking than you and can get significant others." I stated.

"Of course I have a significant other." Damian retorted.

"Oh yeah," Sean asked. "and who might I ask would that be?"

"Myself." Damian smirked. Sean and I groaned. 'Such a narcissist.' I thought.

Just then, the door opened slightly to show Sean's kitty Ophelia entering the room. She sashayed over to me and brushed onto my leg.

"Traitor." Sean giggled. She meowed in response to his statement.

"Well, they didn't call her breed a family cat for nothing." I said picking up the cat and giving her to Sean. Damian and Sean left when dad called them downstairs for something. I continued to work on my photographs I was editing from dad's old camera before Alex called.

.............................................................

"Mincy, come downstairs! I want you to meet someone." Dad called.

I stopped what I was doing and walked downstairs. I came downstairs to see my siblings scattered about doing their own thing, and I saw dad and grandpa with a lady that looked like the twin uncles.

"Mom, this is Mincy. She's my oldest daughter and my second born. Mincy, this is your mémé, she's my mom." I was shocked, while mémé clapped her hands in delight.

"Oh how wonderful! It has been so long since there has been a girl in this family, oui mon cher?" Mémé chirped while patting grandpa a little too hard on the shoulder. (Dang, she must have really wanted a daughter)

Grandpa's hands shot up in defense. "It isn't entirely my fault dear, who knew they were all going to be boys? Certainly not either of us!" Mémé turned to dad with a beaming smile.

"We're so proud of you mon doux fils. You've worked so hard to where you are now. I'm so excited for your opening of you bakery in a few weeks, and this house is absolutely charming! You even have the wonderfully well behaved children!" She squealed in delight which made dad's face blush from the compliments.

.................................................................

A few hours have passed. Mémé and grandpa were having tea talking with dad. Sean, Lloyd, Petra, and Irwin came downstairs with different pets in tow.

"Oh, how lovely. Who are these precious critters?" Grandpa asked.

"The cat is Ophelia." Sean claimed holding her up. "Damian had a school play last year and I found her in a stream nearby and I saved her! I named her after a character dad read during college."

"This is Bingo." Petra patted the big dog's head. "he's a ser- I mean, a St Bernard, and this is Rooster." She ruffled the Basset Hound's head. "He's dad's dog. Dad found him in an animal shelter. He's really old and doesn't have a leg, but we love him very much."

"Just like-" Irwin started before Sean kicked him. He was about to say how Bingo didn't have a leg just like dad, and Petra was about to say how Bingo was his service dog (Aaron forgets to charge his legs so he falls down occasionally, and Bingo helps him to the charging port. He also helps him during intense PTSD episodes). Dad lost both of his legs, but he has been hiding it since we've moved. He made everyone promise not to spill anything to our grandparents and uncles or anyone else we meet. I think he just wants to feel normal without anyone treating him weird for not having legs from the knee down.

Thankfully my grandparents didn't notice Sean and Irwin since they were focused on Lloyd and his pet.

"This," He held up the reptile with a pink bow. "is Peaches. I found an egg thinking it was a bird, but it was a gator egg! She likes belly rubs." Lloyd after his presentation immediately went back upstairs to put Peaches away.

"Here's my pet!" Irwin exclaimed. "This is my snake William Snakespeare. He's my best friend, but he's tiny so he can't eat me."

"Well," Mémé started. "they all look very well and taken care of, good job children." Irwin, Sean, and Petra all smiled as they left the room to go back to their activities. Mémé looked at our dad.

"Once the reptiles get bigger I'll put them in more professional living conditions. When they got the reptiles I had just had the sextuplets." Dad explained. The grandparents nodded in understanding.

"Mémé? Can you tell me funny stories from when dad and the uncles were kids?" I asked eagerly.

"Oh! I have the most hilarious stories to tell. I even have home videos I brought with me!" Mémé said excitedly.

"W-wait hold on-" Dad started. Me and a couple other kids gathered around her as she turned on an old camera. His face started turning a deep red color. 'I am so going to love this!' I thought.
