It's been so long. I have not grown disinterested, I'm just so busy and my mental health sometimes says no to my to do stuff. Here it is!!
Mincy's POV:
"Hello Mr. Sergei!" Lloyd and Darren chirped. Sergei narrowed his eyes and the two squirmed a smidge. I figured he wasn't the talkative type.
As Russel and Sergei glared at one another Enoch cleared his throat and clapped his hands. "Well, now that everyone has gathered, why don't you explain what the hell is going on."
...........................
As everyone else scrambled and ran to gather their things and evacuate our group was discussing last night events at the cafeteria near the outside porch. They had a heated discussion as to how to rescue the 'hostages', battle strategies, and escape plans. Valentino had yet to apologize for his remark and I didn't plan on doing it either for my outburst. He was insensitive and rude and... I just....
"Min'y?" I look down to see Fae looking up at me from across the table. Her eyes barely peeked over as she furrowed her brows in worry.
"What's up Fae?" I tried to smile, but it didn't really reach my eyes.
"Uhm," She tapped her fingers on the table. "Fae wan' go home. When daddy come ba'?"
"Uh, he'll be back soon. He needs to beat up some bad guys first!"
Her eyes lit up. "Like Gli'er Fowce?!"
"Yeah!! Just like in Glitter Force! He needs to save the world with happiness and love!" She squealed at the thought. Alan, Damian, and I decided to call the monsters Distains like from the show Glitter Force as a way to explain to the rest of the siblings what just happened. In a way it's helped all of us cope and not freak out with what's been happening.
I look over to the rest of the table. Everyone was in a heated discussion on whether or not we do a sneak attack or full force. Pearl was now on Malachi's shoulders, the twins were on either side of mémé (still holding hands), Auntie Francesca sat next to a sulking Valentino, and Russel seemed very involved and yet disinterested at the same time. I had still yet to figure out why he's upset at his dad. I remembered a saying dad used to say, "Opposites attract while similarities clash". Not the best of rhymes but he was never good at English... or singing.
Something rose up within me, a churning hot and frustrated feeling that began to boil. I quietly got up and walked out to the porch. The sun was up and the wind blew lightly, easing the heat coming down. I took a deep breath and looked down to Willow who was in my arms. She looked very uncomfortable, but very tired as well. I hadn't heard her cry in a while and that worried me. She was the most vocal about everything.... so with her like this.
"To heck with this!!!" I kicked a pebble at the cherry blossom tree. All the feelings that were in my chest finally spilt over. My breathing quickened and my arms shook. It was too much, so much is going wrong. What am I supposed to do?? I can't-... I can't....
"Heyo saw you out here and wanted to say hey!"
I turned around slowly to meet the voice. It was that kid from when we met that lady and Russel's dad. What was his name...
"Look ah..."
"Kaleb."
"Yeah, Kaleb. I'm not in the mood to be all friendly. So kindly go away."
"Oh," Kaleb twiddled his fingers a bit and tapped his foot. "when do you think you'll be able to?"
"I don't know??? Never?? Look it's not you it's just... my" Fat tears slipped out from my eyes and ran down my face.
