Third POV:

The ceiling shattered as a large and grotesque creature started falling into the ballroom. Screams and cries echoed as the creature got up. Aaron backed his kids farther towards the wall as the creature started sniffing the air. It turned its head toward the Stavesons and grinned. Aaron seethed as it let out a low cackle. 'Brawlers.' He thought. It had been so long ago since one has been seen, but here it was, clear as day. (Art Not Mine)

It turned to the large crowd on the other side. Some people were scattered throughout the ballroom, and swiftly the Brawler ran after the people. Everyone was screaming as it threw one of the guests over to the group. As it ran to the scatterers, more Brawlers crawled from the broken ceiling and helped the first. There was a total of 6. Aaron's eyes widened as he realized what they were doing:

They were herding.

They had managed to round up everyone to the other side of the room. The six of them acted as a sort of barrier to keep the group away from the family. Each one paced and growled at the large group, making them cower in fear.

He turned to his kids. They all stared wide eyed, with dried blood all over their faces. Some were frozen, while others cried and shivered violently. Samuel was holding onto his arm for dear life. Mincy had a hand covering her mouth trying not to scream. He grabbed her hand and squeezed it tight, trying to give her reassurance... even if he wasn't sure what was going to happen.

Oscar tore his eyes off the scene and looked at Aaron. "Wh... what are we going to do now?" His kids looked to him for answers. Aaron looked to them desperately. He couldn't let his kids get taken... or worse.

Another horrified scream erupted from the other side. Everyone snapped their heads toward the sound. Ita, who continued to scream, was pointing to the ceiling. They turned around to see a dark mass of tentacles swaying  from the ceiling. The sight sent chills to Aaron's spine, that was a Poisonfleer. He cursed, if they brought a Poisonfleer then that means they knew he wouldn't try to escape without the threat of multiple casualties.

Aaron scanned the room to find the thing behind this. Before he could spot him, clapping echoed the now quiet ballroom. The large group on the other side turned confused. People stepped aside worried as a man walked out of the safety of the group. Before people could warn him, the Brawlers stepped aside to let him through. He continued to clap as he walked toward the young family on the other side. The family huddled closer to their dad, who was giving him the death stare as if saying, 'stay back'.
