As of this afternoon in, I found myself in the living room, pacing slightly as I waited for Harry to return from his class. The familiar feeling of anticipation bubbled within me, mixing with a hint of nervousness. My thoughts kept drifting back to our time on the beach—the way the stars had felt like they were cheering for us, and how his words echoed in my mind: I want this... With you. Every day, again and again.
What did that mean for us? The thought sent a thrill through me, and I couldn’t help but smile. I wanted to explore this new territory of our relationship, and the thought of it excited me.
When the door opened, my heart leaped. Harry walked in, his hair slightly disheveled and a bag slung over his shoulder. There was something undeniably charming about him in that moment. He flashed me that infectious grin that never failed to make my heart race.
“Hey,” he said, dropping his bag near the door and stepping closer. “I missed you.”
“Really? You just saw me a few hours ago!” I teased, though I felt the heat rise to my cheeks.
“Few hour's was a lifetime ago,” he replied, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “Plus, I had to endure a boring class. You can’t blame me for wanting to be here with you instead.”
“True,” I admitted, trying to hide my smile. “But I have a surprise for you.”
“A surprise?” He raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “I like surprises.”
I led him to the kitchen, where I had set up a small spread of snacks—some shrimp and fish I had prepared earlier, along with a few of our favorite drinks. It wasn’t extravagant, but it felt special, like an invitation to share another little moment together.
“Wow, this looks amazing,” he said, genuinely impressed. “You outdid yourself!”
“I figured we could have our own little beach vibe at home,” I said, feeling a rush of pride at his compliment.
As we settled at the table, sharing bites of food and laughter, I couldn’t help but notice how easy it felt with him. We talked about everything—his class, my day, the little things that seemed trivial but felt significant in his presence. Each shared glance, each laugh, brought us closer, weaving a tapestry of connection that felt almost tangible.
“So, what’s next for us?” I asked, my voice softer as I set down my drink, meeting his gaze.
Harry paused for a moment, his expression turning serious, as if he was considering my question carefully. “I want to explore this,” he said slowly, “wherever it leads us. I don’t want to rush anything, but I also don’t want to pretend like this isn’t something special.”
My heart raced at his words. “I feel the same way,” I replied, feeling the warmth spread through me. “I want to take it day by day. I want to enjoy every moment with you, just like last night.”
His smile returned, lighting up his face. “Then that’s what we’ll do. One day at a time, making memories, no matter how big or small.”
We spent the rest of the day talking about our dreams and plans, and the world outside faded away. The more we shared, the more I realized that Harry was becoming an integral part of my life, and I didn’t want to imagine my days without him.
As the night grew deeper, I felt a sense of comfort and belonging wash over me. This was more than just a relationship; it felt like the start of something beautiful. With every heartbeat, I knew that we were building something real.
Eventually, as the clock ticked closer to midnight, we found ourselves on the couch, comfortably wrapped in a blanket, our fingers intertwined. The quiet moments were just as precious as the loud ones, filled with unspoken words and shared dreams.
“Do you ever think about the future?” Harry asked suddenly, his voice low and contemplative.
I hesitated, but I wanted to be honest with him. “Sometimes. I think about what it might look like... with you in it. It feels exciting and terrifying at the same time.”
He nodded, understanding. “I get that. But I don’t want to rush it. I just want to enjoy us, whatever that means.”
I smiled, feeling a rush of affection. “I think enjoying us sounds perfect.”
With that, Harry leaned in closer, brushing his lips against my forehead. It was a tender gesture that made my heart swell, and I couldn’t help but snuggle deeper into his side, feeling safe and cherished.
As we sat together, the future felt bright, and the possibilities endless. In that moment, I realized that whatever came next, we would face it together. The little moments, like the one we were sharing, would pave the way for the big ones.
And for now, that was more than enough.
