"Relax," came a Scottish accent, "I'm not Hyperion." The figure floated closer to Y/N his head moving into the light, he was not the same alien who had beaten up Y/N the previous night before but so far he was displaying the same abilities.

"My name is Ikaris. I am an Eternal. We want to help."

---

"Dude. What's an Eternal?" Y/N asked exhaustedly.

"The Eternals are an artifical race of cosmic beings who have walked amongst your kind for the last several millennia. Hyperion is an eternal as well, however he did not arrive with the rest of us."

"Us?..." Y/N questioned, however the man did not elaborate further. "Right. Sure whatever, I've seen some weird shit in the last few years, nothings off limits any more." Y/N crossed his arms, "what do you know?"

"Come with me, my leader can tell you what you need at length." The man floated down to Y/N and offered him a hand.

"Yeah no. I'm gonna grab my car."

"There's no time for that." Y/N ignored the eternal choosing to head back inside and grab his keys and down to the garage starting the old girl up.

"This is Lola," he revved the engine and flicked open a cap on his console, hitting the concealed button. Machinery inside the vehicle shifted as the car entered its flight mode. The eternal rolled his eyes but took off followed by the flying car.

In the early hours of the morning on the next day, the flying man lead the teen to a secluded little shack on a small farm in South Dakota. Y/N 'parked' Lola out front and followed Ikaris inside. Waiting at the table was a tan woman, her hair was dark and tied back in braids down her back. Ikaris moved to stand beside her.

"This is Ajak, our leader."

"Thank you Ikaris. Mr L/N please take a seat." Y/N cautiously took a seat at the table.

"You understand I'm a SHIELD agent? If you were trying to stay anonymous, swing and a miss."

"We've never cared about staying hidden, we've protected this world for Millennia, we exist in dozens of your myths across time. But I haven't asked Ikaris to bring you here because of us."

"Hyperion." She nodded.

"He threatens the safety of this world and its people if left unchecked."

"Where is he?" The boy questioned.

"Ikaris followed him into this planet's orbit, he's drifting somewhere close to Earth. When we were created by the Celestials, Hyperion was made separately from the rest of us. Instead of sustaining himself on the infinite energies of the cosmos, he recharges much in the same way you do."

"Sunlight." Y/N realised, "So I'm a quick charge battery, but why come after me? Why not go to the sun directly?"

"Well, absorbing the energy of a star is too much at once even for an Eternal. If we were to take in too much cosmic energy, we wouldn't be able to contain it. I imagine Hyperion has the same flaw."

"Why Earth though? Why does he want to conquer us then if he's one of you."

"He never came to Earth with us, hundreds of Eternals exist in the cosmos. But this particular one, I believe he's suffering from Mahd Wy'ry. It's a sort of dementia that only afflicts Eternals."

"Out of his mind, got it. Can it be fixed?" Y/N questioned the woman, she however shook her head.

"Hyperion doesn't just sustain himself on solar energy, it also strengthens his body, the same way it does to you. He's much to strong to subdue, even if we could there's no guarantee the usual treatment would work." Y/N got up from his chair.
