"I was 3 years old when I was taken. I don't remember my life before the experiments. They took me and for years, like clockwork, I was used as a test subject, a lab rat. Provided with food, shelter and more pain than a kid that age should be able to endure, I also received education, enough that I'll never have to go to a real school in my life. As soon as certain things stopped making sense was the moment I realised that what they were teaching me was fictional and straight up bullshit. They were trying to manipulate me, so I could no longer take anything they say as the truth after all.

Eventually one of their experiments yielded results and I got super strength, the kind that put the rest of the experiments to shame. I also became tougher certain things could no longer hurt me, that didn't stop them from figuring out what could. I also started healing faster, quicker than the others. These changes not only made it harder for them to control me but made me the star pupil out of all the test subjects and then it got worse. Eventually they got their hands on a source of power unlike any other. The Tesseract, that's what it was called. Stolen from some random organisation in order to siphon its power their experiments. The next few experiments were conducted with this source of infinite power, most were aimed at me and clearly they weren't aware but their power source had changed me."

Tonight was the night Y/N's life would change forever, the cube had changed his cellular structure only no one had yet noticed that Y/N had gained an ability, one that could absorb sunlight and after a couple days of sitting by the window, he finally felt strong enough for an all or nothing attempt at escape.

Walking over to the door, Y/N's hand glowed a bright blue and he struck the steel door. Normally this would have done nothing. Y/N's strength was far superior to the other test subjects and his door was reinforced with that fact in mind. However, this new glow added an entirely new level of strength. The steel door bursted off its hinges, flying back and smashing through the wall adjacent. The sirens sounded.

"Test Subject 2 has escaped. Repeat Y/N L/N has escaped. He is extremely dangerous. Capture at all costs."

Y/N ran, scanning along the walls and corridors for a way out. Guards chased him but were never able to keep up. They weren't able to and he'd never allow them the chance.

The corridors blurred together as he continued his escape. The blaring red alarms covered the hallways making it impossible to navigate.  Sprinting around yet another corner, Y/N was forced to a stop. The sirens alerted the rest of the guards to his presence and now a barricade had been erected, upon turning back, more guards were now on his six.

"Dammit" Y/N muttered.

"Subject 2, return to your cell and await disciplinary measures."

"What? Is that meant to make me agree?" He questioned.

"If you don't we have instructions to take you down with lethal force."

The boy held his fists up in response, not likely to go down without a fight. An aura of blue light eminated from his body, his eyes overflowing with the same. A guard pulled a trigger missing due to the blinding light.

In response Y/N put his hand out and the energy from his body flared up, his eyes and hands glowing into a bright blue neon. Without any warning the blue light warping around his hands fired through the barricade, smashing right through it and knocking away all of the guards in the way. The neon glow continued to shine brighter until my vision was completely overtaken by the light.

'BANG!'

The light faded and Y/N slumped over onto a snowy field. Blood stained his shirt. A shotgun had been fired into the boy's back. Y/N struggled to push himself back to his feet eventually managing and began walking forward, hopefully in a direction away from his captors. The shrapnel made it hard to focus on anything else but Y/N continued to slump through the ice and snow, holding out hope he'd be okay. His healing factor was hard at work but whatever they'd shot him with was stopping him from healing properly.
