The Truth is...

Over A Year Later, November 23rd 2009

After a year of school most people were leaving Y/N alone as a result of beating up the biggest bad in school he was a loner that most people thought was a gangster on account of how much trouble he stirred in his first month.

People still talked to him, among those was Roxy and there was also James and Brandon, the school friends he somehow managed to make. James was one of those nerdy kids you see in the library who gets bullied a lot. Or got bullied a lot, most people chose not to mess with him anymore. And Brandon was actually one of the jerks Y/N had beaten up on the first day. If you took him away from the lead bully, he was actually a decent guy.

Y/N was currently eating in the cafeteria, listening to James' recount of what happened at Stark Industries last night.

"Then the Arc Reactor exploded and destroyed the malfunctioning prototype."

"No dice Jimmy, its all a conspiracy, I'm telling you." He gave Y/N a look that said are you serious?

"Hey Y/N!" The boy in question turned to see Roxy Reyes. His next door neighbour and daughter of his Strategic Homeland Investigation Enforcement and Logistics Division detao;. She was currently making her way over to the table. "I heard a rumour that you got top of the class," she said scooting into the seat next to him.

Unsurprisingly Y/N was top of his class, despite his delinquent reputation, due in part to him skipping class for covert work and just because he was bored, he was already a college graduate in most of the basic fields of study, on top of the Coulson had him studying different languages in some of his off time. Due to all of this highschool came really easy to him.

"Soooo. Y/N is it possible that I could swing by your place after school? I really need a tutor to help me study before our finals" she had her head down and her palms pressed together.

"Yeah sure. My Stepfather is still out on work so he won't get back until tomorrow I think."

"Thanks Y/N," she said as she got up and walked back to her friends who all had huge grins on their faces and were giving her a thumbs up.

"So Y/N does that mean you and Roxy are dating now?" Y/N immediately choked on his food. Brandon had arrived at the table with his own tray.

Brandon only laughed at Y/Ns misfortune while James patted him on the back trying to help him out. As soon as Y/N stopped choking he glared at Brandon, who was silenced.

"Ok so the trick to trigonometry is just remembering all the equations. As long as you have those you can just substitute the entire equation out to make it more manageable," Y/N stated. She tilted her head in confusion. "Think of it like algebra but slightly more annoying," he sighed.

"Y'know what, let's just watch some tv. That'll take your mind off it for a while," He said picking up the remote. Switching the television on and flicking through the channels until they found a news program about Stark Industries.

'And now Mr Stark has prepared a statement. He will not be taking any questions, thank you.' The man at the podium left and was replaced by Tony Stark.

'Ughh, been a while since I was in front of you. I figure I'll stick to the cards this time.' Earning a laugh from the reporters. 'There has been speculation that I was involved in the events that occurred on the freeway and the rooftop.'

'I'm sorry Mr Stark but do you honestly expect us to believe that that was a bodyguard in a suit that conveniently appeared despite the fact that-'

'I know that it's confusing. It is one thing to question the official story and another thing entirely to make wild accusations or insinuate that I'm a superhero.'
