NO ONE'S POV

"Stop your delusion na you and Mikha will end up together, she's going to marry Ashley." Aiah's dad said with full authority.

"Stop with that stunt, your daughter is smart. Alam kong maiintindihan n'ya pag kinausap natin s'ya ng maayos." Mikha's father intervened as he sipped his wine.

Aiah stayed quiet, her thoughts clouded with worry over the girl who had been missing in action for two weeks now.

Mas lalong lumalala ang duda n'ya, her trust in Mikha slowly eroding, especially since Ashley had also been absent.

Whenever Mikha called her the other way, ang sinasabi lang ni Mikha ay may ginagawa s'yang importante at babawi s'ya.

At naiintindihan n'ya ang nobya dahil sa laki ng responsibility nito at kahit through text or chat lang mag update si Mikha, ramdam na ramdam n'ya ang pag mamahal nito.

But.

She couldn't shake the feeling that they were together, and hearing her father's words only deepened her suspicions.

It hurt more than she thought.

She couldn't understand why her parents, who barely came home, were suddenly at the house.

It was even stranger that Mikha's parents were there too, along with the parents of Gwen, Jhoanna, Colet, and Ashley.

She was pulled from her thoughts when Sheena, Stacey, and Maloi entered the front door, laughing.

The trio immediately went silent as they noticed the unexpected company-familiar faces that made the mood even more uncomfortable, especially Mikha's parents.

They had been planning a sleepover, trying to catch up after being busy with so many things lately.

It was supposed to be a bonding moment, especially since everyone had been feeling gloomy, including Maloi and Stacey dahil na rin sa ganap sa kanila ni Colet at Jhoanna.

Maloi, Stacey, and Sheena awkwardly bowed and greeted everyone.

"Ah-mm, good evening po." Maloi led, walking towards the elders to give them a beso, followed by Stacey and Sheena.

When Maloi approached Colet's parents, she felt uneasy under Colet's father's gaze.

"Ricalde's daughter?" Colet's father asked flatly, and Maloi nodded.

After the greetings, they went over to Aiah, who seemed lost in thought.

"I don't know." she replied, because truthfully, she had no idea what was going on.

Nagkaroon ng biglaang katahimikan, an uncomfortable silence, as the door opened again, revealing Mikha's grandparents from both sides.

Their presence seemed to bring an even heavier atmosphere into the room.

Alam na nila kung ano ang gustong gawin ng kanilang anak.

They knew this had something to do with their granddaughter, Mikha.

They were fully aware of why Mikha had been missing for a while and couldn't be reached, unlike their children who were still in the dark at walang kaalam alam sa pinagagawa ng anak.

That's why when Mikha's parents invited them to the Arceta mansion, they knew something was going on.

Kaya pumayag na rin sila sa gusto ng kanilang apo.

They were there to support her, feeling sorry for the state she was in.

They just wanted the best for Mikha, to protect her, and, maybe, to make Mikha's parents see things differently.
