A R K I E POV:

The air in the gymnasium thrummed with a vibrant energy, a mixture of anticipation and excitement.

Tonight was prom night, a culmination of months of planning and preparation.

As I settled into my seat, a glass of red wine in hand, my gaze drifted toward the stage, where Sebastian, our charismatic student council president, stood poised to deliver his opening speech.

Such a pretty boy.

Sebastian, with his tousled brunette hair, bright green eyes, and a shy smile that could melt glaciers, was not your typical prom king material.

He was the epitome of the studious, unassuming type, the kind of guy who preferred a good debate over a dance-off,total nerd.

But for me, he was captivating. His passion for knowledge, his quiet confidence, and his gentle nature had drawn me to him for years, sparking a secret crush that burned brighter with every stolen glance.

As Sebastian began his speech, his voice resonating with a mix of intelligence and warmth, I found myself lost in his words, captivated by his presence.

The world around me faded into the background, leaving only Sebastian’s captivating voice and the enchanting glow of the stage lights.

I took a sip of wine, the cool liquid soothing the nervous tremor that had taken root in my stomach.  The music thrummed softly in the background, a rhythmic counterpoint to Sebastian’s words.

“This is a night for celebration, for letting loose, and for making memories that will last a lifetime,” Sebastian said, his voice echoing through the auditorium, his words a beacon of hope and joy.

As he spoke, I couldn’t help but imagine him dancing with me, the warmth of his hand in mine, the rhythm of our bodies moving in perfect sync.  A sigh escaped my lips, a quiet lament for a dream that seemed unattainable.

Sebastian was a popular figure on campus, his intellect and kindness attracting a constant stream of admirers, but unfortunately he doesn't know it.

He was kind and approachable, but I never dared to make a move.  I was content to admire him from afar, my feelings buried deep within my heart, a secret I kept close to my chest.

Over the years, I had become something of a shadow, a silent observer of Sebastian's life.  I knew his favorite books, his favorite bands, the way he preferred his coffee, the way he always tucked a stray strand of hair behind his ear when he was deep in thought or reading book. I had become a walking encyclopedia of all things Sebastian, a silent admirer who reveled in the small details that made him unique.

Yeah, I'm a creep.Stalker.

But as I watched him on stage, bathed in the soft glow of the spotlights, a new wave of determination washed over me.  This was prom night, a night for dreams and possibilities, a night for breaking free from the confines of my insecurities.

“We’ve all worked hard this year, and we’ve achieved so much together,” Sebastian continued, his voice filled with pride and gratitude.  “Tonight, let’s celebrate our successes, let’s lose ourselves in the music, and let’s create memories that we’ll cherish forever.”

As Sebastian’s speech drew to a close, a sudden wave of energy rippled through the gymnasium ,a collective hum of excitement as the music swelled, transforming the space into a pulsating dance floor.

I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder, snapping me out of my daydream.  I turned to see my friends, Louis and David, their eyes twinkling with mischief.

“Lost in the clouds, Ark?” Alex chuckled, his voice laced with amusement.

“Seems like someone’s got a case of the Sebastian blues,” David added, his smile widening.

I blushed, the realization hitting me like a wave of embarrassment.  I had been so lost in my admiration for Sebastian that I had completely zoned out from the world around me.

“Don’t tease me, guys,” I said, trying to play it cool.  “Just admiring the president’s speech, that’s all.”

“Come on, Arkie Lewis Augustine.. we all know how you feel about Sebastian,” Alex said, his voice full of good-natured teasing.

"full name? really dude?"I rolled my eyes,he just chuckles as he ignores my question
“Why don’t you just tell him how you feel?  What’s the worst that could happen?”

“Yeah, Ark, make your move,” David chimed in, his voice laced with encouragement.  “What are you waiting for?”

I hesitated, the weight of their words sinking into my stomach.  I knew they were right.  I had been letting my fear get the better of me, allowing my insecurities to hold me back from pursuing my heart’s desire.

But there was also a part of me that feared rejection.  I had never been bold enough to confess my feelings for Sebastian, and the thought of him turning me down sent a wave of anxiety through me, after all he had a big crush on that jerk.Kylle Winston.

“I have a plan,” I said, a sly smirk on my smirk.
