Alina let out a groan as she stirred awake, she rubbed her eyes as the sunlight almost blinded her, as she sat up she was immediately met with a headache, the effects of how much they were drinking last night. Her eyes scanned the room, they had fallen asleep on the couch throughout the night, Tayana was spread out, sleeping peacefully holding onto a blanket. Alina smiled at the sight of her sister, she was so grateful to have someone who was there by her side through thick and thin.
She stood up from the couch and walked into the kitchen, filling up a glass of water and popping a pill, hoping she would feel a little less hung over. Reaching for a pair of sunglasses that were nearby, she put them on and walked outside onto the balcony, closing the sliding door behind her. She looked over the city in the morning, the view was always breathtaking and provided her with a sense of peace and calm. Her mind couldn't help but think about Dominic, he was so kind and caring towards her and her sister just threw him out like a dog. She took out her phone and dialed his number, hoping he'd pick up. Her breathing stood still as the line rang until he picked up.
"Hello?" A hoarse voice answered, he'd probably just woke up
"Hey Dominic, it's Alina."
"Oh, hey Alina, how are you doing?" His voice instantly lit up, making her smile widen.
"I'm..okay, deleted all my social media and stuff, I just don't want to remind myself of it and trying to move on." She said, her voice turning more sad as she remembered last night's events, how much he had embarrassed her and made a fool of their whole relationship to the public.
"That's good, it'll pass, the next new thing will be trending soon and it'll be like it never happened. I'm happy you're coping love, if you ever need anything i'm just a call away." His words resonated in her soul, bringing back that warm feeling again.
"Thank you so much Dom, sorry about my sister by the way, she's very overprotective of me but I'm sure once you get to know each other, she'll like you." She said reassuringly, trying to lighten up the mood. She heard a hoarse chuckle on the other end of the phone, bringing a shiver down her spine.
"We barely even know each other Alina and you already want me to get to now you sister first? Come on now, you're smarter than that." He teased before he added "Unless you'd like to change that?"
She felt her cheeks redden a little, finding his teasing endearing, she was in her head until she realised she actually had to answer him "I'd like that a lot, you free today? Let's say after 2?"
"Sure, just text me where you want to go and I'll be there." He responded, Alina's face fell as a thought popped into her head, she swore under her breath.
"I completely forgot, paparazzi will be after me if we go out in public, could we do something more private?.." She asked, anxiously waiting for his response.
"Of course, I understand, you could come over if you'd like." She thought over his offer and hummed in agreement.
"Sounds great to me, just text me your location, thanks so much Dom."
"No problem , have a good day, see you soon." She cut the call and let out a sigh of relief, she looked at the time and realized she had to get ready for her photoshoot. She stepped back inside the penthouse and saw Tayana in the kitchen making breakfast.
"Morning babes, how'd you sleep? And how's that hangover?" She asked with a chuckle as she flipped a pancake.
"I slept okay, ugh my head is pounding, I completely forgot I had a shoot today, fuck, you're a bad influence aren't you?" She said walking past her and playfully hitting her ass.
"Of course, would I really be Tayana Suzui if I wasn't?" She responded playfully, watching her sister walk to the bathroom to shower.
Alina walked into her grand bathroom, undressing herself and looking into the mirror for a moment, she looked like shit, heavy eye bags, flushed face and puffed up lips, not a model face at all. She let out a soft sigh before she stepped on the scale, watching the numbers increase to her size, she smiled as she noticed that she was maintaining her weight, happy with her results she stepped into the shower, letting the warm water drench her hair and body.
