3PM in Miami
Selene stood nervously at the doorstep of her ex-boyfriend's home, feeling both nervous and excited to see him after all this time. She had come to the address hoping to rekindle their relationship. She had probably rehearsed what she was going to say well over a million times, hoping to win him back. As she gave a soft knock on the door, her heart beat against her rib cage, nervous as to what his reaction would be like, as he opened the door, he was shocked to see her there.
"Selene?"
"Dominic." Dominic looked completely confused and in shock, he wasn't expecting her at all, he moved to the side and allowed her to come in. Rollie feeling the presence of a familiar voice ran over to Selene, jumping up at her for attention, Selene willingly picked her up, petting her head.
"Hey Rollie girl! Aww you missed me didn't you?" She said as she looked around the apartment, it hadn't changed much apart from some extra guitars.
"Uh..what can I help you with?" Selene sighed and put Rollie on the ground before she sat down at the couch.
"Dominic, I want to get back together..I know what's in the past is meant to stay in the past but you mean a lot to me and I'd be a fool if I didn't at least try again..." Dominic let out a long sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose "I've moved on Selene, you need to move on too."
"I heard..you moved onto my best friend." Dominic's heart dropped, best friend? since when?
"What? Are we talking about the same person here?"
"Alina Suzui, she was telling me about you yesterday, couldn't believe that you two were talking." He took a moment to process the information he was hearing.
"Look, I didn't talk to her on purpose, knowing that she was your best friend, I had no idea Selene."
"I know that, I don't blame you for anything, we became friends way after our break up."
"So if you know there's something going on between us why would you come to me? I thought she was supposed to be your best friend."
"She is but..I miss you.. I miss what we had Dominic, please, just hear me out." He shook his head and put a hand on his hip.
"No, it's over, it's been over Selene. Whether she's your best friend or not, I like her and there's nothing you can do to change that. Please leave." He said sternly, Selene stayed sat for a moment before she stood up.
"If you need me, you know where i'll be." She said, approaching the door.
"I won't need it, trust me." He said as he opened the door and watched her walk outside before he closed the door with no remorse.
He didn't understand why she couldn't move on, they clearly weren't meant for each other, they had gotten together and broken up 3 times and Dominic decided that that wasn't healthy and he deserved better than her half assed effort.
He wasn't normally this upset but he was upset because of Alina, she'd been through so much and he just wanted to protect her and show her what real love feels like if she allowed it. The fact that her own best friend would try to sabotage the relationship left a bad taste in his mouth, she deserved better. Alina was like unlike any other woman he's been with, not like any one night stand or crazy exes like Selene, she was just perfect in everyday for him, he'd be the happiest man in the world if she gave him a chance. He found himself missing her, missing her presence, her touch, her lips...he counted down the days till she could be in his arms again.

8 am in Tokyo
The fashion show was incredible, Tayana would really get her name out there, Alina was proud of her of course and proud of Jun and Tayana's engagement. Alina and Selene returned back to the hotel while Tayana left with Jun to spend some quality time with her new fiancé, Alina knew Tayana was excited and so would their parents.
Alina had woken up already, sitting in the living room as she as still waking up and decided to text Dominic when Selene walked into the room.
"Morning sleepyhead, how'd you sleep? I could barely sleep after last night, it was so incredible." Alina remarked as Selene sat down on the couch next to her, she was fidgety and avoided eye contact with her.
"I slept okay..listen Alina, I've been hiding something from you and we're supposed to be best friend, I shouldn't hide anything from you.." Alina's heart rate accelerated from this, she wondered what it could be about, she reached out and held her hand.
"It's okay, at least you're ready to tell me now, what's up?" She asked with a small but reassuring smile. Selene took a small breath before she spoke, bracing herself for whatever her reaction would be.
"Remember..you told me about the guy you're talking to right now, Dominic?" As Alina heard his name, her heart dropped, that was definitely what she wasn't expecting, she urged her to continue, her grip on her hand loosening.
"We've...dated before." Shocked was the least word she could use, she wasn't angry or upset at Selene but angry at herself.
"I'm so sorry Selene, does it..bother you that we talk?" Alina asked.
"That's not the problem here..before I joined you here..the week where I had to finish off work, I.." Selene couldn't, she felt the tears well up in her eyes, she didn't want to lose her friendship. "I went to see him and..I asked if we could get back together." Alina's face contorted from sadness to confusion and betrayal, she let go of Selene's arm completely and inched away from her.
"Alina wait..I.. I didn't mean to, I didn't know what I was thinking okay? I really didn't mean to hurt you."
"Maybe if you had done this before you found out we were talking...but you did it right before you were going to face me and you didn't tell me, you had 2 weeks Selene I... this is so fucked up.
"I realised that now Ali, it was wrong I know, he said no though, he did, I just missed what he had and-"
"No, you didn't, you don't like seeing me happy, everyone wants to take every single good thing I have in my fucking life! Haven't I been through so much already Selene? Haven't I?!" She asked, her vision blurred as tears stream down her face, everyone in her life had hurt her, everyone in her life had betrayed her or disappointed her in some way, it hurt, it fucking hurt.
"Even after everything we've done for you? Even this fucking trip Selene..fuck!" She said, resting her head in her palms as tears continued to flow. Selene tried to put a hand on her before Alina reacted it and stood up, she breathed heavily and shook her head in sheer disappointment.
"I can't fucking be here." She said as she stormed out of the room to go into her bedroom, she slapped the door behind her and involuntary tears. She didn't know what to do or think, she wanted to scream, punch someone but as usual she sat by the edge of the bed, trying to think about happy things to stop her from crying, a technique she'd learnt from her constant arguments with Diego.
She stared down at her phone for a moment as Dominic's notification popped up on her phone.
"Good morning beautiful, sleep well?"
She put the phone away, choosing not to reply and pulled out her suitcase to pack her bags.
