Selene missed her best friend, she knew she had fucked up by trying to come in between them but she couldn't help herself. Dominic was a very attractive guy and his personality just drew people to him, she missed him. She wished she had treated him better than how she did before but she had no choice but to support Alina and him.

Conflicted by her thoughts, she decided to apologise to her, for picking a fight and what she had done, she had ruined their friendship by her selfish desires. Selene excused herself from the dinner table and headed upstairs to look for Alina.

Just as she walked by the second door upstairs, she saw Alina and Dom walk out of one of the rooms, looking like a disheveled mess, Dominic's shirt wasn't buttoned up all the way and Alina's hair was a mess, how shameful. Selene thought as she saw this, as Dom looked up after helping Alina with her dress, his eyes turned int a mixture of shock and annoyance at Selene's appearance.

"What the hell is wrong with you guys? This is a family event." Selene said, quite loudly and Alina didn't like that, she walked closer to her, Dominic didn't even try to stop her this time, they needed to hash it out but he would step in when necessary.

"Can you keep your voice down?!" She said in an angry whisper, approaching Selene "Were you..what are you doing here?" She asked, redirecting it back to her, she looked real suspicious right now.

"I wanted to apologise to you but..I don't think I want to be friends with someone as shameful as you, do you not feel?..Disgusting?" Selene said, her words were starting to anger Dom but he knew Alina could fight for herself.

Alina refrained from putting her hands on Selene, she didn't want to cause a scene but now she was asking for it "I'm disgusting?...you're the one who's watching and eavesdropping like a pervert, this is as close as you're gonna get to Dominic again, he doesn't fucking want you and he never will, he's mine. Your insults don't bother me because in the end," She paused, her voice determined and confident.

"I won, get over it you pathetic bitch." Alina said, she watched as Selene's mouth fell open and tears welling in her eyes clearly hurt from what she said but Alina didn't regret it, not one bit. Dominic took Alina's hand and began to walk away from Selene and back downstairs, leaving her to stand alone looking stupid.

Once they were out of earshot, Dominic stoped and turned to Alina "You okay?"

"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" She responded.

"The important thing is that you're alright, I wanted to step in but I know my baby girl is strong enough." He said kissing her forehead and fixing her hair to look less disheveled. "It's so attractive when you get all aggressive, I was cheering you on." Alina smiled before her smile began to fade as she looked up, Dominic turned to look as well, his eyes widened as he saw Selene standing over the ledge of the high staircase, she was gonna jump. Dominic turned to Alina.

"Alina!" He said, she remained stuck in place in shock, unable to respond, he shook her one more time.

"Alina! Get help, go get everyone, I'll talk to her." Alina nodded, running into the dining room to get hep.

Dominic stood just below her, watching her up, he knew that if he went up there, he couldn't risk her jumping and getting scared, he could see she was crying heavily, looking down with both feet standing dangerously close to the ledge.

"Selene! Listen to me, this isn't the way!" Dominic said, trying to remain calm and mediate the situation.

"No. Since I'm such a pathetic little bitch, I'll just jump." Dominic sighed in frustration form her response, she was obviously doing this for attention, just as he was about to respond, everyone came into the room, gasps filling it as they saw Selene about to jump. Tayana and Alina joined Dominic's side, wanting to appeal to her.

"Selene what the fuck!? You can't kill yourself over a guy!" Tayana said in frustration, Alina was deathly afraid, contrast to the calm demeanours of Dom and Tayana.

"Ask your sister what she said to me! She's the reason I want to do this, she treats me horribly and I'm tired of it!" Dominic's blood began to boil, she was so lucky she was up there, he rolled his eyes and put his hands up, allowing Tayana to just handle it.

"This isn't the way Selene, you're ruining my dinner! This is supposed to e about me." Tayana said, Dominic sighed in frustration, this was being handled poorly but he had a plan, he leaned in and whispered something to Tayana before he slipped away.

"See? I ruin everything, everything would be better if I just died." She said dramatically sobbing, Tayana wasn't buying it, she crossed her arms and remembered Dominic's plan.

"No Selene, I'm sorry, me and Alina are both sorry, you did nothing wrong, just come down and let's talk." Tayana said more calmly.

"If Alina was really sorry, she'd let me have Dominic." Tayana couldn't take it anymore, did Selene even listen to herself sometimes?

"Oh my fucking- ugh Selene, just get down and stop acting like a fucking baby." Selene's face changed from sadness to just plain anger, she moved closer down the ledge.

"I'll show you who's a baby." She said, stepping closer and closer but before she could jump, she was grabbed from behind and restrained to the floor by Dominic and their father, Collin.

"Selene, relax." Collin said, still keeping her down as she struggled under their grasp.

"No! Let me go!" Dominic forced her up, as the body guards came upstairs, they handed her over to them. As they led her downstairs, she screamed curse words at everyone, especially Alina as she was escorted out of the mansion, as the doors shut, there was an eery silence in the room. Alina let out a breath she didn't realise she was holding, it was a breath of relief, she didn't know what'd do if Selene had jumped, it would've been all her fault.

Dominic hugged Alina, calming her down and repeatedly phrasing that it wasn't her fault. Selene's outburst had completely ruined the evening for everyone, no one was in the party mood anymore and slowly, one by one, everyone left the venue to the comfort of their homes.
