Y/n's Pov:
The guys and I walked down to the dock where a carnival was being held. We all bought tickets and rode many different roller coasters. We also played some carnival game which resulted in only Kari winning a teddy bear, but because he thought it was too childish, he gave it to me. We walked back towards the entrance. As we passed what looked to be a sweet parlor, Zack stopped us in front of the parlor, "Gentlemen and lady, after a night like tonight, there's only one thing that can cement this friendship. Frosting!"
"Sweet Justice!" Zack, Kari, Ken, and Jesse shouted excitedly.
"You do not wanna miss this," Kari says, taking my hand and pulling me into the parlor.
"How did I not know about this?" Barajas mutters looking around the parlor.
"Hey, guys. So, what's the haps, what's poppin', what's the latest? Can I get you something sweet? Sure hope so, 'cause that's what we have. It's sort of our specialty," a girl from behind the counter says, gesturing to the display of sweets.
"Hi, Becky," Zack, Kari, Ken, and Jesse greet together.
"So, what'll it be? The usual? The usual? The usual? The usual? The usua—" Becky starts to say before looking at me, David and Barajas.
"Barajas will have the candy cake triple ripple tower with the rainbow sprinkles and David will have the death by chocolate. Figure of speech, David. Y/n want do you want?" Zack asks me.
"I'll have whatever David is having. It sounds really sweet," I tell Becky who nods at my request.
"Here you go. Oh, hey, nice to meet you, David," Becky says, giving us out sweet treats.
"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I shall await your text message in three days' time," David says to Becky before walking off with the rest of us.
I giggle at his actions as we sit down. I sat between Zack and Ken with a spoon in hand.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Jesse asks as David just stares at the ice cream.
David lifted the spoon to his mouth and ate some. It was almost as if his eyes became stars as his face lit up with wonderment. He ate the rest of the ice cream in one go, how does he not have a brian freeze? "Never have I tasted such wonderment. More. I must have more of this magical concoction. Do you intend to eat that?" David asks Ken, taking his ice cream without asking.
David suddenly shouts standing up, "COMRADES! This food is more delectable than ambrosia, this place more perfect than Elysium. I declare that we must celebrate our every future victory here and thus!"
"Sweet Justice for the win!" Barajas shouting standing up. I blocked the rest out after I looked over to maybe the owner of Sweet Justice talking to this weird demolition bot, "Hey, what are you doing? We turned down the offer. Get out of here, please." At this point the husband was pleading.
"We said we wouldn't sell. Becky, go get our lawyer," the wife says pointing to Becky.
"Lawyer? Why do they need a lawyer?" Jesse leans over asking me, causing me to shrug.
"Attention, citizens. :This business or dwelling has been categorized for immediate destruction," the demolition bot announces scaring the owners and customers, "By order of the city of Metropolis, you must vacate before structure removal begins. You have 30 seconds to comply,"
Kari looks at us asking, "What should we do?"
"What can we do? They're city robots," Zack replies worriedly.
"You have 15 seconds to comply," the demo-bot announces.
"Please, kids, let's go. Nothing we say is gonna stop 'em," the wife says, trying to keep us safe.
"But the city can't tear this place down without your permission. This doesn't make sense," Jesse says confused.
"You have ten seconds to comply. Ten..." the demo-bot counts.
"Is this a law we must obey? Or should we fight?" David asks trying to decide with the owner pleading the background for the boys and I, even though I can't do anything, not to fight
"Let's get out of here, especially you, Y/n. We're not ready for a fight and Y/n's not a super," Ken says while pulling my hand towards the exit worriedly.
"Two, one... This completes your warning. Demolition will now begin," the demo-bot says and the rest pull out demolition tools, like wrenching balls and drills. One of the wrecking balls headed in the direction of a boy with a VR headset on, so he wasn't paying attention. As the wrecking ball was about to hit him and his table, David leaps forward saving him and helping him outside.
"It matters not if these villains are protected by man's law. Our mission is to protect the innocent. And that is what we must do. Come, brothers. This is our time," David says determinedly.
As the boys jumped into action, I helped the owners outside the building and directed any kids running around outside. I look back inside the parlor to see that the guys were having a hard time working as a team to defeat the boys. It was too dangerous for me to somehow help so I was forced to watch like the rest of the people outside. Bit by but the parlor was falling apart and the boys were not helping.
Suddenly, the parlor fell to the ground creating a cloud of smoke and the demo-boys appeared rolling away announcing to the owners, "Thank you for your cooperation. You will receive a bill for any damage to city property. Have a nice day."
"Insubordination! Why did you not await my orders?! You are reckless!" David yelled at the others, angry.
"Well, excuse me, Prince, in case you didn't notice I was the only one in there actually fighting!" Kari says, pointing to himself.
"Nh-h, I was fighting," Ken declares but results in earning a glare from Zack.
"You were cringing," Zack disagrees.
"If you wanna yell at someone, yell at her! One flick of that ring, and she could've taken all of them out!" Kari accuses Jesse.
"Oh, like Zatanna took out you and Wonder Woman?! Or was her showboating a better strategy?!" Jesse glares at Zack who gasps dramatically.
"At least my magic blast did more than some silly magic rope!" Zack yells.
I hated all this yelling, it brings back so many memories from my parents death. They died in a car crash while they argued. I can't remember what they were arguing about, I was still very young, but I remember the screeching of the tires. The car had tipped over onto the roof. I was the only one to make it out of that crash. I never earned my drivers license, but it's fine because my aunt Edna always had someone drive me everywhere. I tuned out all the arguing and could hear bits of speech about Barajas accusing Lex Luther of the demo-boys. I watch as all the boys take off their customers then look at David who had a stunned expression on his face.
"Wonder Man?" Barajas asks David, concerned.
"Barajas Gordon, meet... my mother," David says, presenting his mother. His mother appeared behind him, he wore a bronze armor, resembling one of the  Amazons, and had a small golden band sat upon her red frilly hair.
Barajas gasps, backing away, "Dude, your mom looks like a final boss."
"Disguising yourself as a warrior, entering the tournament of Athena and Aphrodite against the wishes of your Queen, leaving Themyscira without my permission!" the queen says angrily.
"Wait, you snuck out? But I thought it was your destiny to save the world of Man," Barajas says confused.
"This insolent child has no such destiny! She has brought shame upon his people! Come, David! It is time to return home, " the queen says grabbing David's ear, hurting him, "and accept your punishment. You are in for the grounding of your immortal life, young man."
The queen walks off with David in hand and the guys except Barajas walk away to go home.
I watch Barajas take out his phone probably calling his dad, who doesn't pick up. I sigh knowing his dad is probably asleep.
I sigh, " Barajas wanna go to my place until your dad can pick you up? The pier is closing soon." Barajas lifts his head sadly and nods.
I pull him towards the car and open the car door for him, he looked so dejected.
-Timeskip-
After a bit of time in the car we pulled up into my driveway. I opened the door and got out, thanking my chauffeur. Out of the corner of my eye I see Barajas stare at my house. My aunt Edna gave it to me since I was going to be living alone for most of my stay here. Her exact words were, "You'll regret it later, my darling niece. I, for one, never look back, it distracts from the now." I get what she said now, I like the space it has and I have a good house or flex on my friends.

"This is your house?!" Barajas asks with his mouth open in awe. I nod, dragging him inside holding his hand. I bring him inside to the living room and sat him down on the couch. I got the comic book I meant to give him a while ago and gave it to him. His face got really red so I went to the kitchen and made us some hot chocolate. Maybe he was too overwhelmed by what had happened. I could faintly hear him talking to a friend in the other room. I feel bad for him, he just got some new guy friends and they just practically left him.
I finished making the hot chocolate and walked into the living room, I put down the cups while Barajas looked like he was deep in thought.
Suddenly he grabs my shoulders saying, "We have to save David from his boss level mom Y/n And we have to become a super team and you're the only one that has really had experience with this type of thing. Even more experience than David!"
I sigh, shaking my head, "You can't convince me until you get the other boys on your side."
Before I could say anymore, Barajas jumps up and runs out the door yelling, "Thank you. I'll be back with the guys." Barajas is really determined to do whatever he puts his mind to. I am definitely going to expect them to show up at my door later.
