The penthouse was eerily quiet after Jungkook left. Taehyung sat on the sleek leather couch, the faint scent of Jungkook still lingering in the air. He couldn't help but replay the last few moments in his head. Jungkook had been so intense, so protective, and it left Taehyung both comforted and confused.

Jungkook (earlier): “I have important work to handle, Taehyung. Stay here and don’t go anywhere, alright? I’ll be back soon.”

Taehyung had nodded, watching as Jungkook gave him one last look before heading out the door. He didn’t ask what kind of “important work” it was. Jungkook was a mystery—cold, reserved, and yet he had this fierce sense of ownership over him. Taehyung wasn’t sure what to make of it.

But now, with Jungkook gone, the curiosity got the better of him.

The penthouse was enormous, larger than anything Taehyung had ever seen. He wandered around the space, taking in the expensive artwork, the immaculate decor, and the stark contrast between the luxury of the apartment and the cold, detached nature of its owner.

As he moved through the hallways, something strange caught his attention—a door slightly ajar at the far end of the hall. It wasn’t like the other rooms, which were pristine and open. This one was tucked away, almost hidden.

Taehyung hesitated, feeling a surge of curiosity mixed with apprehension. Something about the room called to him, as if it held answers he didn’t even know he was seeking. He slowly pushed the door open, stepping inside.

The room was dimly lit, but what Taehyung saw made his breath catch in his throat.

It was a small, personal space—walls covered with photographs, some pinned up, others framed. But these weren’t just any photos. They were all of him.

Taehyung stood frozen in the doorway, his eyes wide as he scanned the room. There were pictures of him from the college, some from when he was teaching, others from outside on the campus grounds. There were even a few candid shots from what looked like years ago, when he was still a student.

His heart pounded in his chest as he walked further into the room, unable to tear his gaze away from the images. Every corner of the room was filled with his face—his smile, his moments of vulnerability, and even moments he didn’t remember being captured.

In the center of the collage, there was one photo that stood out the most. It was a large, framed image of him smiling softly, his eyes sparkling in a rare moment of joy. But what really caught his attention was the writing scrawled across the center of the photo in bold letters:

"Love you, Taetae."

Taehyung's breath hitched. He reached out, his fingers trembling as he lightly traced the words on the glass. His mind raced with a thousand thoughts at once. What was this? Why did Jungkook have a room dedicated to him? And why hadn’t he ever noticed how deeply Jungkook felt about him?

A strange sense of realization settled over him, though he still couldn’t fully comprehend it. Jungkook had been watching him for a long time, but not in a casual way. There was something more to this, something intense, obsessive even.

Taehyung took a step back, his head spinning. How long had Jungkook been collecting these photos? Why had he never said anything? And more importantly—what did this mean for them now?

He suddenly felt like he was seeing Jungkook in a whole new light. The cold, aloof student, the mysterious person who had taken an interest in him… it all made sense now. But the depth of that interest? Taehyung wasn’t sure if it terrified him or if it made him feel… wanted.
