Scene: Seoul International College, Classroom, the next day.

The classroom was buzzing with chatter as students filed in, filling the room with the usual noise. Kim Taehyung stood at the front of the class, clutching his notes, trying to focus on today's lesson. But all he could think about was yesterday’s conversation with Jungkook. Why had he said those things? And why did Taehyung feel so… unsettled by his words?

Taehyung took a deep breath, attempting to push the thoughts away.

Taehyung: "A-Alright, class, let's start with the r-revision of the p-previous lesson on calculus."

He tried to keep his voice steady, but as usual, a few students in the back weren’t paying attention. Kai, sitting with his usual crowd, leaned back in his chair, not even bothering to hide his lack of interest.

Kai (mocking): "Ah, calculus… What a fascinating subject." He snickered, earning laughter from his friends.

Taehyung’s heart raced, but he tried to ignore it, pushing forward with the lesson.

Taehyung: "C-Can someone explain h-how we solve this equation?"

As the seconds ticked by in awkward silence, Taehyung noticed Jungkook in his usual seat, arms crossed, watching the class with that same dark, unreadable expression. He didn’t participate, but his presence was enough to keep the more disruptive students in check. Except for Kai, of course.

Kai (smirking): "Maybe the professor should solve it himself. I mean, if he can even speak without stuttering."

The room erupted in laughter again, and Taehyung felt his face flush red. His hand trembled as he gripped the marker, trying to write on the board, but his mind went blank. He could feel the weight of everyone's stares, the humiliation rising inside him.

Suddenly, the laughter stopped, and the room grew eerily quiet. Taehyung turned around to see why.

It was Jungkook.

He had leaned forward in his seat, his eyes locked on Kai with a cold, dangerous glare. There was something about the way Jungkook stared that made the air in the room freeze.

Jungkook (quietly, but with an edge): "You should learn to keep your mouth shut, Kai."

Kai, usually bold and confident, shifted uncomfortably in his seat. He forced a laugh, but it came out nervous.

Kai: "W-What's your problem, Jungkook? I’m just joking around."

Jungkook stood up, his presence overwhelming. He moved toward Kai’s desk with slow, deliberate steps, his expression never wavering. The room felt like it was holding its breath.

Jungkook (his voice dark): "Do I look like I’m laughing?"

Kai shrank back in his chair, his earlier bravado completely gone. Taehyung watched in shock as the arrogant student who had tormented him so many times was reduced to a cowering mess in front of Jungkook.

Jungkook: "Next time you disrespect him"—he nodded toward Taehyung—"I won’t be so polite."

The entire class was silent. No one dared to move or speak. Taehyung, still standing at the front of the room, felt his heart pounding in his chest. Jungkook glanced at him for a brief moment before turning and walking out of the classroom without another word.
